Traditionally men were not concerned with outward appearance because they were busy working/contributing to society/culture. Women were the people that focused on appearance such that they could attract a man, which was (is) their primary purpose.

So yes, I would say it is "unmanly", not to say that it isn't socially acceptable in your society.

Well, I'm not exactly working in a coal mine every morning. In a corporate environment, everyone, men and women, are dressed to impress and look professional.

I get my hair styled all the time and cut by a guy I know. He is an open bisexual person but I see nothing wrong with it but some people think that because I style my hair I'm less manly...

I hate messy mangy hair, why not give it some flair.

Any guys here sty le their hair or are you guys all just pure manly greek barber people. Toriko42
I would say its 'unmanly' to obsessed with your hair and always making sure it looks perfect. But thier is nothing wrong with getting your hair styled.

It looks better, but that does not make it manly... Growing your hair (facial hair and body hair included) without styling it. That my friend, is manly!
