I do not speak in terms of "weird." It would be foolish.

I always buy the CD. I only download songs that aren't released or if I don't about the band too much.

Almost all audiophiles prefer CDs to MP3s. I prefer them too. Mp3 is very lossy, if I really like a piece of music I'll usually also own it on CD or vinyl because IMO it's a different experience, especially vinyl.

I prefer CDs as well. If I have a CD I can choose what I bitrate and format I want to rip it at if I want to compress the songs.

It's not weird at all if you care about audio quality. I never download songs anymore, I just buy the CD and rip it to my computer at 320 kbps, VBR.

I guess i'll be the first to say that I prefer MP3s over CDs. CDs take up too much space and MP3s are cheaper.

I'll only download an album in FLAC or at least 320kbps.

Otherwise it's CDs.

I prefer CDs too so you are not weird to me. I just like to have hard copies of my music and games. Also because my CD player gets really good battery life and my ipod video had only gotten like 30 minutes so i sold my iPod and kept my CD player. But i always put the CDs on my computer so i can listen to them while i'm on the computer.

well you can't make the actual music quality better by burning an MP3 to a CD, but maybe your CD player has higher quality circuitry than your MP3 player????

I plan on buying 18 CDs next month.

So no, you're not alone. CD quality is better than MP3 quality, and you get a hard-copy as content security.

If you've ever had a DRM error that essentially turned hundreds of dollars worth of purchased music into garbage, then you'll see why it's a good idea to have a CD.

Ever tried to download a song, and had it fail, and then gone through a lot of **** just to either get the downloads to work, or recover the money you paid for the downloads that failed?

BTW, they want to do this with movies.

The audio quality of a CD is much better then it's mp3 version. With that said though I don't really buy very many cd's anymore with youtube/pandora/etc. I find myself just streaming music I like from places of the internet that offer it for free. When listening to music in my car I do prefer to have a good source and that's where an mp3 will never top you're good old album.

CDs will always be superior to MP3s in my opinion. Sound quality is one reason - and another is that you simply don't get the full experience if you just skip from MP3 to MP3 like many people tend to do with a huge list of songs.

No, CD's do not have the best quality, when I rip a CD it's done at 256kbps with Lame which is equal to CD quality.

I prefer MP3's because I can take them anywhere. The sound is perfect. And I always download albums, I just don't bother with CD's anymore unless it's a rare album I can't download.

320 bit MP3 is virtually the same as CD quality "unless" you have "really high-end" audio hardware.

I will take a CD any day over Mp3s. To me it's not the sound quality or anything its just having the CD, with the cover and booklet that is nice. Like I just got Chinese Democracy today and yeah I could have ordered it off iTunes but I wanted to have the CD.

How many websites sell all their music in 320??  Or VB0... or 256...  What is iTune's standard?  Is it even 192?  Or is it 128...... see where I'm going?
