If you follow the rational self interest moral compass of objectivism, that's how. If people receieve but do not deserve, they will begin to expect without deserving. It can also lead to an aristocracy of pull, which can get bad, it means trading favors for favors instead of worth for worth. I would suggest selling it, you paid for it, and should not be willing to simply give it away for free.

Only if its stolen, then you need to make money off it to make it justified.
