[QUOTE="mig_killer2"][QUOTE="Kon323"]If you want a complete understanding of your morals look to Jesus Christ. That understanding of what's right and wrong is written in our hearts by God.Kon323

can you prove that?

When it comes to Jesus Christ, it's simple. It's historical fact that he died on the cross. Now when it comes to his messages during his life on earth and his resurrection, that can be supported by witnesses of that time.

It depends how you execute them. I mean you have to be stealthy about it. I recommend chocking or injecting something into their bodies. The key is to not leave a mess. So stay away from slitting throats and such...

I'll let you decide whether it is right or wrong. Just remember...cleanly

most prophecies made in the bible were inevitable.

also, how do you explain the prophecy made in Ezekiel that the city of Tyre would be destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar?

Look, I do not know ever phrase and story in the bible. But, as I study, I find myself confused at times, especially with the old testament. However, as I study more (I pray to God first to give me understanding of his words) I develop more understanding of his words.

With me giving you guys these links, guess what, I've googled them. If you trully want to find out at all who God is, you would at least make a remote attempt of finding out.

I don't think there's any right in killing unless it's for food, hence survival of the fittest...but ending a life should only be a last resort. All jokes aside, last resort.

I read that link. its spelled prophecy, not prophesy. that's why the URL was not working.

there is one particular prophecy that is of interest to me. It was prophesied that the messiah would have his hands and feet peirced

crucifixion was invented by Rome. it was also prohibited by jewish law

it is wrong to initiate force against another individual, but it is not wrong to use force in defense of aggression. killing another person is acceptable in order to protect yourself, your property, your family, or to help defend others from aggression.

capital punishment is wrong. no law that makes it legal can make it right. the legality of an act, in general, has little to do with the morality of the act.

Are there really any morals that we should live by? I mean really, we're just animals like the rest of the things on this planet, and we don't matter beyond the needs of ourselves. Of course, nobody wants to be killed, so do you feel you shouldn't kill to honor that wish, or maybe it's a thing where they won't kill you if you don't kill them. Or is a human concience virtually worthless in the scope of the universe?Darth_Tyrev

Exactly. It is correct to kill people to advance. Otherwise we would not advance (duh...). This is to broad of a statement and I don't feel like elaborating...

I am extremely offended that people say humans are not much better than animals.

has an animal ever senta probe to mars?

have a bunch of animals ever built a giant telescope in space?

have a bunch of animals ever mastered semi-conductor technology?

have a bunch of animals ever sequenced their genomes?

the answer to all of those questions is an obvious NO.

Humans ARE above the animals. To say otherwise is borderline lunacy

Why the hell would a bunch of animals build a giant telescope or want to end a probe to Mars? :DIt doesn't help them survive

But I do wish I could sense a natural disaster before it actually happens like some of those animals.

[QUOTE="Darth_Tyrev"]Are there really any morals that we should live by? I mean really, we're just animals like the rest of the things on this planet, and we don't matter beyond the needs of ourselves. Of course, nobody wants to be killed, so do you feel you shouldn't kill to honor that wish, or maybe it's a thing where they won't kill you if you don't kill them. Or is a human concience virtually worthless in the scope of the universe?mig_killer2

Exactly. It is correct to kill people to advance. Otherwise we would not advance (duh...). This is to broad of a statement and I don't feel like elaborating...

Have animals mass murdered over religion?

Have animals committed the holocaust?

Have animals nuked a country?

Have animals wasted there time arguing about what I'm arguing about right now over the internet on a friday night? I hate my life....*gets out the tool...*

that's just lunacy to say we're no better than animals

We're worse, I hope they create a nuke that spreads aids to end this pathetic reign of such a destructive and pointless species of vermin.

can an animal build a spear?

can a bunch of animals band together and build a city and establish a government?

we've been doing both of those things for millenia

No, they haven't. But do animals have the ability to do those things? Our choices dont makes us better than animals, its our ability to choose.

It's called evolution, take a biology class. And no, they don't build cities or governments, but they do form communities and families.

No, I don't think it is. I wouldn't do it, because of my SUBJECTIVE morality. But I don't believe morals are absolute.

Right is the opposite of wrong. Wrong does not exist, therefore neither exist. Do you ever wonder why you think certian things are right and others are wrong. Why you have the fears that you have. Why you just go along with certain things with no thought yet question others. I am sure you have never thought about any of this and just go with the flow.

No wrong answer. You are brainwashed. You would feel completley different if you grew up in a different scene. You obviously just go with the flow like the average human.

I see what you're saying. But the "rules" you put out make it impossible for someone opposing you to win this little arguement. And there is no need for the condescending tone.

Humanity by nature is a violent race that is no different to what we see in other animal species around the world. The difference is that we have the ability to understand and learn from our actions and have the ability to improve our way of life as a whole because of this. Animals don't have such a great capacity to learn as we do, thats why they still fight each other and act on instinct while humanity has learnt to supress instinct to a certain degree.
