Pros is that you can regulate the speed better and amount of exhausted, Also move your feet more..
The Con is that you need to put it into gear all the time or else the engine will die and you need to turn the key again, you also need to keep the clutch in to brake without killing the engine.
It's not hard at all
Pros-
Better fuel economy if driven the appropriate way
Better performance when you need it
More fun overall when you have good driving conditionsCons-
Have to maintain your car more
SUCKS when stuck in trafic
SUCKS when stopping on a hillwalton13
I agree with these points
It's not the best in stop start traffic at all, if you can master handbrake starts hills aren't much of a problem. I personally feel like I have more control over a manual.
It's not too hard to pick up although it helps if you've had experience driving them before.
be wary though, there have been reported cases of the gears tearing themselves apart and the stick flying into the skull of the owner because the person engaged the wrong gear at the wrong time
the cars would usually explode after that, so the corpse was lost forever and the family's grief was enhanced

Only with the older models, the newer models had the blast shield to prevent the body from burning up too badly
Pro - better gas mileage
Con - try to go while on a hill (you'll see what i mean  )

Hills arent that bad once you get used to them. I wouldn't recomend buying a cheap car with a manual, because the clutch can be really bad.
Hardcore manual is the way to go, where you have to put the clutch in, give it gas, turn the key, put it in gear, release the clutch, give it gas, take your foot off the gas, put the clutch in, shift up, take the clutch out, give it gas some more....
It's more satisfying than just pushing on a pedal or just pushing on a little lever to shift up.
Going up those hills are a blast with Manuel. :)
Can't really add much to what already has been said

Pros-It's fun?
Cons-You don't have a manuel car. :P
I just got a manual truck. I was driving pretty much anywhere by the first day. You'll probably kill the engine a bunch of times for the first couple days, but you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly.
Pros-
Better gas milage
Manual trans last longer than Automatic trans
Much cheaper to fix a manual trans if it does break
Cons-
Have to concentrate on shifting, but it becomes second nature after some practice
its like riding a bike. its hard to get used to but then eventually it just becomes second nature. but heres a tip. dont get a mustang or jeep if you have never driven stick before. they are probably the hardest to learn on.FUBAR24
Or you could learn on the hardest manual transmissions so that all others are easy. I personally learned on a '74 chevy 3-speed column shifter. Everything else was a cake walk after that.

These are all easy. In the UK we mostly drive manuals. If you're good at it then you have no problem, it's piss easy to get used to.

Motorbike? If so, yeah they are mega easy to shift. Unfortunately my bike is now a write-off.
