I would actually say OT (and GameSpot in general) is a liberal democracy. In a democracy, you have the rule of law. On GS, you have the rule of the ToU. Providing you abide by the ToU, just like abiding by the law in a democracy, you can enjoy your rights and freedoms. The mods, and even the admins, cannot simply do what they want (their power is constrained by the law of the USA for example, and the fact it's a business, it would have to be appealing to its market), contrary to what some may believe... at least I think so anyway. :PmichaelP4It's not democratic at all. There's no vote to see if you get modded or not nor do you have any real say in the matter after.

In democracies, do you get a say in what happens in Congress, the Supreme Court, what the Executive does etc? Not really, yet, that's called democracy. It's the same thing here.[QUOTE="michaelP4"]I would actually say OT (and GameSpot in general) is a liberal democracy. In a democracy, you have the rule of law. On GS, you have the rule of the ToU. I'm not talking about how the rules are set.[QUOTE="michaelP4"]I would actually say OT (and GameSpot in general) is a liberal democracy. In a democracy, you have the rule of law.
