You need to understand what is bad about lust. Lust in an uncontrolled sexual urge or desire. Anything considered to be a sin is a sin because it harms others. Why is lust bad? Because it is not controlling your urges which causes a lot of problems. Rape being the biggest, unplanned pregnancy, STD's can all be results of lust. But the list doesn't end there; those are only the most obvious. How about people who kidnap young women or children to have sex them, or people who murder out of passion. Those are some results of lust, but does watching pornography count as lust? It has the potential to encourage lust, but it is not lust per se. That is not to say pornography is not a disgusting and vile medium.
Them mothers who won't let there child do anything due to wanting their offspring to be overly safe. ;)
Happiness?
According to the Aristotelian definition, happiness is not something you can have different quantities of, but rather a state of excellence achieved by practicing the mean condition in virtues of character and honing virtues of intellect. I mention it alo because I agree with it, but primarily because the notion of too much of a good thing is derived from the Aristotelian idea of the mean condition. In other words virtues of character are the mean condition between excess and deficiency and therefore you can never have too much of them, but you can be in excess or deficiency.
