Only if your a christian.lycrof
lets put it better, if there is no god then it just kills you faster, but if there is a god, then it is an unforgivable, instant trip to hell.

I am by no means suicidal at all, just the idea of that makes me fell a bit sick. I mean geez I'm not gonna kill myself at 14.

Not necessarily. For all we know, if there is a god, our ideas of "sins" may be different from his. All religions are different. It may be a sin for the christian religion, but not for many others.

lol, I know. I was just joking.yes. "thou shalt not kill" you are technically killing yourself, and since you killed, you sinned, instant trip to hell.MarioFanaticBut what if it's an "accident"?

Religion is dumb. Believe in whatever you want. If you think it's a sin then it is. I personally don't think it is because I don't care about sins.BrokenDreams13

thanks both of you, that was what i was trying to say but i have trouble expressing.
[QUOTE="grafkhun"]no it's not, read Nietzsche, i know i have said this many times but his work is really eye opening.ZeRo-ZeNI am not a fan of his philosophies
no fanboyism is neede just make sure u know what he is saying and i dont agree with his Christian views either, i am talking more about moral.
It's a pointless question really. Tons of things are sin, what's one more sin on top of that?
If you're a Christian then your sins are forgive. But realistically, why would any Christian want to commit suicide?
And if you're not a Christian then it doesn't matter if you have one more sin because you don't care about the whole issue anyways, right?

[QUOTE="Fortier"]If you believe in sin, then yes. Kill yourself and you'll go straight to Hell, so I'm also guessing its not a sin that can be forgiven.ZeRo-ZeNall sins can be forgiven by God I Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
Naw your pretty much f'ed.

John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. edit: btw Paul is not just referring to our physical bodies. And yes, suicide is a sin.
Well I dont know much about religion... But I know if you commit suicide you are not allowed to have a catholic/christain (dunno which) burial. Im sure some preists or whatever break that rule but your not suppose to get a proper burial if you commit suicide.
there is only one unforgivable sin and its not suicide[QUOTE="ZeRo-ZeN"][QUOTE="nobodyshero87"]its an unforgivably sin...tomxizor
Yeah, it's watching The Wiggles on Playhouse Disney. :|
...I lawled on that one.
not sure if it is a sin. depends on the faith i guess...
but i do know it is against the law. stupid usa. law against suicide. how dumb is that, the violators are DEAD!
According to christian faith it is definitely a sin, but I'm not sure exactly how other religions feel about it.
Personally, I think it's usually (there are exceptions, like some euthanasia) a tremendously ****ed up thing to do, both for yourself and anyone who might care about you, but I don't believe any thing is completely unforgivable, and don't like any faith system that does.
for the people claiming to uderstand the bible and at the same time claiming that it's an instant trip to hell...don't really know enough about the bible especially if including the new testament. when a person is saved in the christian belief they are saved always unless that person than denounces that belief regardless of future sins (and then one can bring in the various interpretations about a certain sin which according to less respected translations is unforgivable). Sampson for instance committed suicide in an attempt to win a battle, and he is regarded as being with God as the bible suggests.
edit: i thought of something that might be easier to understand...
let's say Mother Teresa jumped in front of a moving vehicle knowing that she was going to die but at the same save the life of the one the van barreled toward....would she instantly go to hell? the question should really be for this topic does suicide necessarily lead to hell.
