My ex was somewhat of a tomboy. She wore make up and was into the girly stuff, but also liked some guy things.

Well, she said she did/tried to be. She said she was into cars, but here is how our first car conversation went.

Me: Are you buying an automatic or manual?

Her: It's a stick.

Me: So it's a manual?

Her: No, it's a stick.

Me: Uhh yeh manual?

Her: Stic-...wait, umm, yeh, manual.

As long as I dig their personality, it doesn't matter much to me.

If anything, I would think a balance between the two would work out best.

If she is heterosexual, biologically a woman and retains all the aspects of womanhood then I could care less if she is "tomboyish." Intelligence is the most important aspect I look for in a woman... I find intelligence that can challenge my own to be very "hot."

Well, it depends on what kind of "tomboy" she is. The term is vague given the range of different things associated with being male or female. I'm not really sure what I'd find the most attractive in a girl, but I think there are some things about which I'd prefer her to be "girly" and other things about which I'd prefer her to be "tomboyish"; your poll, therefore, is very simplistic.

No, a "tomboy" is a girl who acts in ways that our society associates with being male. However, as I said earlier this is vague because society associates all kinds of things with gender.

I prefer sporty girls. I like a little muscle on my women (but not like body-builder stuff *shivers*) and basically just a nice, athletic build. A volleyball chick comes to mind perhaps. I also prefer girls with shorter hair. Not buzzed, but like down to the neck or something. I don't like them super-girly, but I'd probably feel uncomfortable if she were into everything I was into. I'd rather have some dissimilarities than perfect harmony I guess.

So, I've been in a relationship for a little over 2 1/2 years, and is still going strong. Now, why I think it's still going strong is because my girlfriend is more into "guy things" than "girl things", which brings me to my question: Is the perfect woman to you a tomboy? Would you want a girl that can grab a back of chips and watch that football game with you, that can come out and challenge you to a video game, that can watch a good "guy movie" with you and enjoy it, etc, etc? Now, of course, she can still have those femine attributes, make-up, "shopping", etc, etc, but for that other side, is that what you would think a perfect woman is?Legendaryscmt
Sounds perfect to me. I need someone to go grab me some chips. lol jk This kind of tomboy sounds cool.
[QUOTE="achilles614"]I used to [QUOTE="Sunsha"]Assuming such a thing exists I would imagine so.Sunsha
I thought the same too until I started hanging around some. It's nice that they're into guy stuff and all, but I don't think I would like it in a serious relationship I like somewhat girly girls :)

That's all nice and such...but I am female myself. ^_^

ON GAMESPOT?! You have to be lying.

Somewhere in the middle, she still should be feminine but able to hold her own on guy topics even if she's not into them as much as guys. She should be able to sit through Die Hard but also apreciate a romance film. Sorta like how a guy dosn't mind going to watch a romantic movie with his GF
