It's easily the best place to live. The US has the best in just about everything including location and weather. Compare the US to UK and in the US you will get a house double the size with an actual yard.killzowned24I never understood why UK is so expensive in terms of gas, land, and food.
Not worldly traveled enough to give an answer better than "I LIVE HERE SO IT'S BETTER", but what I can say is you could do a lot worse than the US, so there shouldn't be too much complaint.Â
B) Also. Cyprus, UAE, Qatar are not that bad. Turkey has some redeeming qualities as well. That's why I said certain ME countries. I would definitely prefer USA to Yemen for example.[QUOTE="charlesdarwin55"][QUOTE="leviathan91"]
Unless you're A.) A Muslim and/or B.) want to move to Israel (unless you're a Muslim that's okay with living in Israel), you're an idiot. Yes the Middle-Eastern countries aren't as poor as we might think they are but they are still shitholes for major human rights violations, disparity between the rich and poor, as well as religious law that you'll have to deal with.Â
The only country I would ever move to in the Middle East is Israel. They're the most tolerant and democratic in the Middle East.

My mistake. I completely forgot about those countries and yes, they do seem like desirable places to live, but I did not forget about Turkey. I think somewhere around Istanbul would be desirable imo but otherwise I wouldn't live anywhere else in Turkey.
I spent four years in Turkey. I love Antalya (and the western 1/3 of Turkey) which is my favorite vacation spot in the Med. Israel and Turkey would top my list among those countries mentioned.

That really depends on the cost of living in that particular area. Â Not every place in the US is the same...
But wow there's been a lot of U.S. bashing lately
If you think for one second that the United States is a shitty place to live, you have never actually lived in a shitty country.
I have been forced to live in shitty countries. America is not a shitty country. It is a first world wonderland, and if you disagree, you're wrong, and you've never been to an actually shitty country.
It might not be the best, but it is far from the worst or even a bad place to live.

No kidding. I was both a military dependent and active duty in the past. A huge part of my life had been spent outside of the US. I spent four years in Turkey, a good number of years in Europe (Germany, Italy, UK), two years in Japan (I was born there too), one year in Seoul, South Korea.... Anywhere but the US.Â
I had fun in many of those places and visited many other countries nearby (including some developed-looking shitholes). But, at the and of the day, it's still the US the family and I love the best, especially when it comes to climate, the size of houses relative to cost, relatively cheap gas and foodstuff, etc.Â
