Is there a movie you tried to hate but really ended up enjoying?

So has anyone ever seen a movie that they tried to hate and really didn't want to see, but ended up really enjoying it?

It would have to be Inglorious Bastards. Darn that Christoph Waltz for making his character so enjoyable to watch.

No. With how damn expensive tickets are now, I only go if I know I'm going to like it.

The Saw series. I wanted to hate it so bad for some reason. I fell into it and watched all of them in one sitting.

I never try to hate things. o_o

The Scary movie series.

Stardust, I really didn't want to watch it (we had to for school) but it was actually pretty much awesome.

Not that I can recall but I have had movies that didn't interest me in the least or ones that I thought would be disasters that I ended up enjoying quite a bit. The most recent examples I can think of are "Supertroopers" and Disney's "Enchanted".

I didn't mind New Moon.

I never try to hate a movie... but i really didnt think i was going to like district 9 and ended up really enjoying it.

Tried to say how bad it was going to be, but after watching it with my wife, I actually liked it.

Twilight was better than the book, but it still sucked regardless. New Moon was awful, but it was hilarious. I mean Bella is like completey psychotic and out of her mind it was just making me laugh so hard. It was just so priceless to hear mother's in the movie theater making "ohhh" sounds when that werewolf boy took off his shirt. I never laughed so hard in a theater in all my life.

When I'm pre-set to irrationally hate something with a stereotypical prejudice, or with lack of evidence or research to back it up beforehand - I don't back down. Anything less would be heresy.

And if I did end up liking it, I lie. I wouldn't want to upset the status quo of things.
