just go with firefox, its much much better, you will love that search bar functionI haven't ever used Chrome. How secure is it? I really couldn't care less about speed. I am more interested in it being secure. I have heard Google shares your search history. Is this true? I want to try Chrome out, but I don't want an unsecure browser.

[QUOTE="Diablo-B"]Firefox is a resource hound.MushroomWigSure, if you're using a computer from a decade ago. this. seriously, if you complain about firefox running slow or something, then its definitly because you have some pentium 2
The main reason I use Chrome? The text. I tried FF4, and I loved the customization and smoother scrolling, but, I couldn't stand the text. It was jagged and was unpleasent to read. I couldn't get it to look good, no matter what I did. So I went back to Chrome and it's nice looking text.

ok im really tired of seeing people posting that firefox crashes and crashes and that its full of bugs...I bet that it only crashed once for you guys and like 2 years ago with firefox 2...so now because of that you say it crashes every 5 seconds...i've never met a person who had those problems with firefox... also, comparing im feeling lucky to the address name bar search is probably the saddest thing i've ever heard...yeah...keep using your im feeling lucky...im pretty sure is completly innefective in front of the FF counterpart  and you guys see? FF does fits more in the screen and the screen doesnt makes anything when opening tabs, and the button saying "firefox" is at the same level of the tabs bar. also, even if it wouldnt fit more screen, why the hell would you complain? its like a 5 cm difference, what the hell are you going to fit there? again I suppose its a notable difference if you have some 12 inch screen...lightleggy
Why are you acting as though any criticism of Firefox is a personal attack? :? It's just a browser. Who cares? You're acting like it's offensive to you for someone to use a different browser and not like Firefox.
Firefox turned terrible for me since the last update, started using chrome. Has all the addons i need.
And what's with the firefox elitism, firefox is a resource hog and I don't have a bad computer.
Chrome is very light and opens fast etc.
I see no reason to use firefox anymore, i understand for people who want 100 addons though.
BUMP for an answer.I haven't ever used Chrome. How secure is it? I really couldn't care less about speed. I am more interested in it being secure. I have heard Google shares your search history. Is this true? I want to try Chrome out, but I don't want an unsecure browser.

I wonder who can fit more of a website into their screen? Oh wait, I can. Hey, why does opening a tab make your screen smaller? Oh, right, 'cause you're not using chrome.Tylendalwut :?

As for Tabs not making the screen smaller. How do you manage to do that? Tabs have their own row in the toolbar, do they not? That takes up space, and makes the screen smaller. Unless of course you're actually using the option to ALWAYS show the tab bar, and needlessly take up space on your screen, even if you only have a single tab open. What are you talking about? Also, full screen mode in Firefox allows you to access your buttons and address bar and what not simply by moving the cursor to the top of the screen, something that Chrome doesn't do.

Just tried to download it, and I did notice in the screenshot that it seems to be using a tab bar similar to chrome (but still has an entire row dedicated to merely the words "Firefox"), and I was interested in checking it out. Unfortunately, Firefox crashed when I tried to download the update.Download another skin? This one doesn't have the feature you speak of.

Chrome also has easily the best address bar. The way it doubles as a search engine query is implemented better than any other browser in my opinion. The new IE does it well too, but it's still not as good.PernicioEnigmaMany users are raving on about that feature but strangely enough, Opera had that feature years before Chrome and allows you to use multiple search engines to boot. It's very customizable and simple to use.

It's Chromium based just like Chrome but is run by an internet security company and not an internet advertising company.

Thanks, I will have to check that out.AmazonTreeBoaGive Opera a shot too. :P They are also very bent on being secure.
That has never happened to me before because it beats down Firefox on my computer even when loading lots of images, something has to be up.Something has to be up with regards to Firefox crashing on so many different computer as well...[QUOTE="martinX3X"]
On my computer, google chrome would take at least 2 refreshes to load a page.

That doesn't exist in Chrome. You need to use the wrench. How do I get the menu bar (File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help) to show on Chrome?

That doesn't exist in Chrome. You need to use the wrench.Ouch that really sucks. Without that, I have no desire to want to use chrome over firefox. It loading pages a split second faster means nothing to me if it is harder to use the browser. I do not believe I have ever given a nother browser a try just to decide so fast that it sucks compared to the one I am already using. Maybe if they fix that serious issue, I will try chrome again in the future. *uninstalls chrome*[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"]

Would I get modded if I were to say cool story bro? Who on earth cares about comparing browsers..DanC1989Look at all the replies in this thread. Consider everything that you do in your web browser. Consider the amount of competition. Consider all the money that is involved. Consider that a certain company is actually bringing out an operating system based entirely on a web browser. This is where cloud computing comes in. Does that answer your question? That was just off the top of my head.

and you know the buttons are still there when you hit F11, you just need to go to the top of of the screen.
