Robin Hood. aaronmullan

Stealing from the rich does not make him good. And that's a fairy tale. Not real life.

Of course.. Not all criminals are bad.. And criminal, is not a absolute term.. Its a brand people place on it.. The founding fathers were seen as treasonous (word?) criminals by the British Government.

Stealing from the rich was more a symbolism for Robin Hood in defying tyranny.

I don't know. The soldiers who opposed Marcos were called traitors by the government, but the rest of the country saw them as heroes. *shrugs*

Everything involves context. Having said that there are plenty of people who try to justify criminal activity by tacking on some justification, usually it is a pretty flimsy excuse.

It depends on the law being broken. Breaking the speed limit by a couple miles per hour is totally different from a murderer.

Of course there is. Crime is all a matter of perspective. We live by the rules of nature not man. If i have to sell crack to babies to make sure my family is survivng you better believe i would (Before you hang me i was kidding, slightly).

A criminal is someone who breaks the law, and I know people who take illegal drugs, but they definitely aren't bad people. So yes, there are good criminals.

Define murder. USA murders people every day if you consider taking human life murder. A gang member shooting another gang member is just another form of war and when innocents are killed, its just casualties.

Some people steal to feed their starving children. Are they good? no, but surely i wouldnt condemn them. And I guess breaking the speed limit to drive a seriously injured child to the hospital would be considered a "good criminal" :P And depending on ones definition, revolutions are started by criminals. Whether they are good or not, depends on the person. Are the American founding fathers villians or heroes?

So you admit that America is a ravinous bloodthirsty gang? And i never said it wasn't murder, just that they try to mkae money, America is trying to make money (oil) so they are killing for the same reasons. You lived a sheltered life didn't you? Vigilantes.

Like the Punisher kinda counts as one. I mean, he does go around killing guys.

I only consider him good because he kills a bunch of bad people that deserve death.

And what about a poor person who steals food to help out his family. I would consider that good. As long as he doesn't harm anyone mentally or physically then I don't consider them bad.

Sometimes people have no choice but to resort to violence, ive seen it dude. They are victims of their time and culture. Some have no choice but to live by the gun and die by the gun.

What i mean is innocence should be left alone, but our world is far from innocent.

LOL, you are so closed minded. I'm no hippy, and i think america should blast their way through to owning those damn oil fields. I love my country and believe me i dont think america is evil. I'm just saying that war is war no matter where it is fought, whether it is in the streets or in another country. So save your one track minded, shotgun cleaning, rebel flag wearing, deer huntin', redneck ideals for someone else, because i can see past the colors red, white, and blue.

No, your just under thinking it. I simply said in the beginning of this whole thing that Killing is killing no matter where it happens and that the term criminal is simply dictated by the government. This then leads to the idea that maybe the term "criminal" is subjective. Then you went on about how you have this holier than thou view about murder (which i'm sorry, but this is a major part of an overtly "Criminal" lifestyle). I've seen gang violence and i've seen war violence and trust me, they are the same damn thing. Innocent people die every day, and i condone it because that is how the damn world works.

I think you could consider, for lets say, that people out protesting something and then told they are comitting a crime but keep protesting anyways. That is an example of a good criminal.

It ultimately depends on where good and evil lies, and in this world, there is no clear line between good and evil. Governments orphaning children because their single parent was selling crack just to feed the kid, and the kids wound up getting sexually abused in foster homes. An underground group who are fighting for freedom being labelled as terrorists by a totalilarian government.
