Wow, this is square... Being a criminal does not necesserily make you a bad person. Decent people can easily be driven into crime, under certain circumstances, like peer presure and poverty. Giant ghettos, and the lack of funding for education, which is very present in the US, where it's quite expensive to educate, can really make some people's life meaningless.. I feel that it is a tendency, that americans cut this subject into black and white, good and bad, with no middleground. I would blame the society.
Unless the rich stole from the poor then he is just a petty thief. The rich earn their money like everyone else... just a lot more than most other people.
There is no such thing as a "good" criminal. When you are a "criminal" you are breaking a law and are thus not "good."
