Is this car a good deal?

My parents are getting me (kind of, not really mine but I will use it the most) a car. We decided on this Jaguar, but I want to make sure it's not a rip-off. Let's assume this car is in good condition and will last. Is it a rip-off?

There are companies that will come to the dealership and do complete inspections. When I bought my used BMW the dealer said I could hire a company that comes to the dealership or I could take it to the mechanic around the block because it was close by. He wouldn't let me take it to any mechanic I wanted to though. So when you go to do the test drive, ask the dealership if they allow for someone to come in and inspect the car.

The price is rather low for a 2004, especially since it has the bigger of the two available engines, and appears to be in good condition with somewhat low mileage. It's not *suspiciously* low, though, since I'd say the average price for a 2004 X-Type would be around $14,000. You're likely just getting a good deal, but be a little wary about it.Dark__Link

Its about a $12K car. Ive seen several for sale for about 10k-11K though so yeah that's a reasonable deal. Very solid looking car though have fun picking up some chicks.

heres what i learned, if its english expect a lot of electrical problems and i mean expect a lot of electrical problems.
