Is it at least slightly possible for an unattractive guy (me) to go for a beautiful, amiable girl that I really like and be with her?

Assuming that I might have a personality that she likes, which I'm not entirely sure of (she thinks I'm nice and funny) do you think she would want me to be attractive, too?

Well, we've been close friends since we were 7, so does that help? She moved around a lot and for long stretches of time but moved back to the US last year. Somewhat surprisingly she still says that we "grew up together" and that I'm like her "brother." That part may not help me so much, but have the opposite effect.

I think you still have a shot. Sometimes people move around so much there might come a point in life where they like some stability, if you can prove to her that you can give her exactly what she wants, and BAM, you are in

confidence is a very attractive trait. so just be confident, and she may be interested.

I also would like to see a pic to see how "unattractive" you seem to be leading us to believe. Lots of girls and guys are into different kinds of people, so there's probably no reason why this girl shouldn't go for you if you are already friends. You just have to step out of the friend zone.

It is deffinately possible..sorry guys but i'm gunna say this.. most girls are a lot less shallow and picky than guys... i've seen and know a lot of girls dating guys that are a bit less in the arractive department then themselves. But on the other hand guys that are super hot are always with super gorgeous girls..most of the time. So yeah give it a shot! :)
