I'm with you. I live on a one lane road(technically two) and almost every time I'm going somewhere, the guy in the oncoming lane has decided he wants to drive on both sides of the road. People are constantly slamming on their breaks in front of me especially when they go down hill. It's ridiculous.
funny videos. The first one where the guy crashes like 5 times great
Nifty_Shark
I really want to know what in the hell was going through the minds of that guy and the person from vid 4, Just Keep Going....
If all you have to do is drive down the street and park (in most States), it is no wonder there are so many clowns on the road in the US. British driving tests are very hard to pass. You actually have to prove that you can drive, and there are(virtually) NO automatic tranny vehicles on the road there.

Driving tests are much more involved than "drive straight and park" in the US. You have to pass written exams and the driving exam has you go through a live course and an obstacle course, plus a parking test (both normal and parallel).
Also, in case you didn't notice, some of the videos on that site were of British drivers. There are idiots in every country.
I was riding with a friend a few weeks ago when we were hit by a stupid woman. We have a very steep and winding road here called Key Springs, and even when it's dry you have to do like 5mph around the curves because they're switchbacks. It was wet this day and as we were going around the last curve near the top (we were on the outside of the curve), this crazy lady comes doing a good 15MPH around the inside of an elbow-sharp curve. Needless to say she slid straight into us.
And then she gives the name Tasha Lavelle Boyd which only seems to exist in arrest records.
At 5:50 p.m. a 1993 Buick Century driven by Tasha Lavelle Boyd, 320 E. Fairview Road, slid on wet pavement on Key Springs Road and hit the driver's side of a 2006 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Joshua George Kelly, 337 Cumberland View Drive. Both drivers and a passenger in the truck, Scott, Clinton, were properly restrained but Kelly sustained minor injuries. Boyd was cited for no proof of insurance.
Of course.
Thing is, her previous arressts always list different addresses, like this one two weeks before our accident:
Tasha Lavelle Boyd, 22, 9188 Harlaxton Court, Knoxville; manufacture/deliver/sale/possess a controlled substance, violation of the drug free school zone.
It's people like her that make me hate driving with a passion.
They really should make the driving tests more difficult. You should actually have to earn it rather than do some BS test on a closed course (at least that's what they do here in Maryland). The only part that requires anything is parallel parking. Thing is, there is no parallel parking in MD. I've done it maybe 3 times in my 4 years of driving
Everyone that lives in my town seems to have lost the knowledge on how to use their turn signals. It's so frustrating.sammyjenkis898
Better than the incident I had driving with a friend where this guy apparently ddn't understand what a STOP SIGN meant.
We had been waiting for a moment at a 4-way stop, was our turn to go so my friend starts to go forward when this idiot to our right decides hes to cool for stop signs and we almost plowed into their side because of it. So lucky at least WE were paying attention...

reminds me of the other day when i was going to work, i was waiting at a red light to turn left, and i get a green light and a Gray Line bus runs the red light, so i think "ok it was close and maybe he didn't have time to stop, nothing happened so it's ok," then i start to go again and ANOTHER lady runs the light! i was speechless and just glad i was paying attention[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"]Everyone that lives in my town seems to have lost the knowledge on how to use their turn signals. I don't understand how people can mess up on 4-ways. I could see if a stop sign was hidden behind a bush, 95% obscured, but not a 4-way, which is often easy to spot. My friend drives her car with the visor down, and doesn't have the best vision. The one time I got a ride from her across town, she ran three red lights and came out unscathed. I didn't feel like running the odds again and decided that was enough for me. :(for any driver that thinks they are a pro on the street, drive in NYC for a real challenge. Those taxi drivers and everyone else will give you a real lesson :lol:Tjeremiah1988I've visited NYC before. My uncle lives there and he's a road warrior. Cuts 4 lanes across without signalling and looking at his mirrors, and others do it to him all the time. In his neighbourhood, if you don't have a bumper guard, you're an idiot, and your car is going to be hit while another car is attempting to get in or out of a parking spot. XD Honestly, crazy aggressive drivers. My uncle drove me to grand central station for the early train back to Canada one day, and it was him and about 8 cabs going about 100mph down the empty roads at 5AM, not even flinching at the red lights, just assuming they'll turn green as soon as they hit the line. Maniacs
Yeah, I hear you. It's way too easy to get a driver's license. I got a license without anyone ever witnessing me behind the wheel.
I'm surprised my early driving days aren't in any of those videos. I was a hazard to the human race, I'm telling you.

If I remember correctly the guy did an insane rolling stop not even looking in our direction. Slowed down but didn't really stop then just decided to go for it and I think the idiot was turned the other way talking to a passenger....
BTW, your friend needs to be off the road.....
That is freaking ridiculous....
Oh and just remembered another great driving moment! I am stopped at a red light. This guy either ahead of me or beside me starts rolling forward a bit predicting a green light. The light stays red and this guy just keeps on rolling till he is almost fully passed the line when he decides "**** it" and just drives on while the light is still red....
They give licenses to anyone... it's amazing to think how some people managed to pass their road tests.
I had one guy slam his brakes on because he thought I was following too close. He was doing 30 km/h in a 50 zone. I continued tailgating and using demonstrative gestures until he decided to get out of his car and come at me. Then I got out, he saw I'm 6'4, 105kg and had a glass bottle of V in my hand and all of a sudden found his accelerator.D3nnyCrane
I actually do what he did when I get someone on my ass. Thing is though I am going the speed limit when I do that.
It is my way of scaring the **** out of the person behind me so they will get off my ass.......

If someone's tailgating you when you're already doing the limit, then it's fair enough. But if some mong can't get up to speed and takes it out on you he's liable for an absolute beatdown.[QUOTE="LostProphetFLCL"]

If you hit the back of someone it's your fault, it doesn't matter if they slammed on the brakes on not. If you didn't have time to stop, you were following too closely.
This person is obivously intoxicated while driving.. I'm sure he's one of those guys that thinks he drives fine while under the influence... there are a lot of those around here.. and every where.. the number of people I come across that insist they drive fine while intoxicated is insanely high.

When I did my test in Florida, the first time my instructor immediately failed me because I rolled through a stop sign due to the fact that I couldn't see around some large hedges. Learned my lesson and the next time I took it, I had to drive on the highway that was jammed with traffic. It was serious stuff.
dude i have to agree i dont know how british test are but over here in the U.S. all i had to do to get a learners permit is passing like simple driving rules test like what is this sign and then they just give you a liscense im like WTF seriously no wonder people suck at driving here ive been driving for two months now and im always getting tailgated people cut me off all the time and people get pissed cause im going 5 miles over the speed limit and thats not enough for themIf all you have to do is drive down the street and park (in most States), it is no wonder there are so many clowns on the road in the US. Exactly, which is why in that case the prospect of a minor collision doesn't bother me (because also it would only be a minor bump. Not like I am coming to a stop or anything).
They rear-end me and I am bringing their ass to court and they can pay their. Maybe next time they won't be a total idiot while driving.
