Move to Canada
Await intentional start of a nuclear war by Palin to help usher in the biblical armageddon.
oh goodie, another one of these threads. OT couldn't even go 3 days without one.
who can honestly tell, she could turn around and surprise people.
but like I said in the last Sarah Palin bash-a-thon thread . . .
"Pure democrats and pure republicans both suck. we need a leader who doesn't have his head up his arse, and is willing to say, "you know what, I agree with democrats on subjects A and C, but I think republicans are right on policies B and D. but that'll never happen, as they have to swear loyalty to one side, and if their own politcal side catches wind of a candidat agreeing with the "enemy," then said party would just sabotage their campaign for a purist."
(yes I know, Sarah Palin is about as ubar republican as it gets, still I don't have a crystal ball, and I can't say that her potential election would usher in nuclear armageddon).
[QUOTE="GTA_dude"]Be glad. Its about time we get a hot president. I'm tired of being stuck with all these unattractive old dudes. Maybe she'll motivate the rest of america to start trying to look better...MrGeezer
In all fairness, Obama is a pretty good looking dude.
Yeah, that's true, he's not bad. But because he's black, he's appealing to a different crowd. People are more amazed by him being a different race, rather then his damn good looks...although I have to admit, he is the best looking president so far.....[QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="GTA_dude"]Be glad. Probably in the top 3, as far as good looks go.
You know, I've heard a lot of people say "Obama is a good looking/handsome man." (even my grandmother said that). every time I hear it the first thought is really? him? he's numero uno for handsomeness? I mean, I guess he's the best looking one in over 20 years (I know a lot of people would argue JFK was the best looking ever), I dunno, I think Teddy Roosevelts 'stache pwns all the competition.

true, JFK is pretty handsome, but I'd still have to put Obama on topYou know, I've heard a lot of people say "Obama is a good looking/handsome man." A lot of Teddy Roosevelt's sexiness comes from him just being a total badass. He's not traditionally handsome, but he's not THAT ugly. But he was a manly man's man personality-wise, and that's enough to nudge him up into the "hot" category.
Same with Andrew Jackson. Not exactly good looking, but there was a certain rugged manly beauty in his appearance. Then when we factor in the fact that Jackson was a badass, that makes him hot.
But I was originally talking about looks alone. Lincoln, Jackson, etc might beat out Obama in terms of sexiness when we factor in personality and just generally being a badass. But based on looks ALONE, Obama has those guys beat by far.
[QUOTE="magicalclick"]I thought the best looking one is Kennedy? And maybe that movie star?taj7575
I don't know man. Bill Clinton's been known to be a pretty fly guy
Clinton certainly wasn't ugly, but you said it yourself: he was pretty fly. And most of being "fly" isn't about how traditionally pretty you are. It's about how you carry yourself. It's about seeming to be coooooool despite your physical appearance.
Clinton was pretty ****ing fly, you'll get no disagreement from me. But being "fly" mostly translates into being "one cool cat". While that CAN and often does make someone seem a lot sexier, in Bill Clinton's case very little of his sexiness came from his actual physical appearance. He's sexy because he's fly, but he's not sexy because he's handsome.
And maybe that movie star?magicalclickCorrect. As for Obama, he's not a bad looking fellow, but pay close attention to his appearance. He is under a lot of stress, and it's definetely showing. I bet his hair will be naturally white by 2012.
Anyway, on to what this thread is really about. I would likely prefer Sarah Palin over Obama, but she is not my first choice, nor am I convinced that she would be a good leader. But if she were to win in 2012, it would likely mean that she was able to establish herself and show a level of political clout, so I wouldn't be upset in this scenario.

Yeah i know. He wasnt good looking, he was fly. That "swagger" gets him the ladies :P
She would make a great president, much better than this current flop. So I would probably support her and the party.

Still not my president, I would hate myself if i voted for that. well I am not strictly democrat, but considering that right now that between the two parties the dems are being the rational ones and not voting against anything and everything laid out before them simply so they can gain political points I feel I gotta side with them. If and when republicans calm down and show that they are using logic and reason (two things I highly value) I will most certainly start to agree with republicans on a more regular basis. Please Log In to post.
