I'll be standing at the border with coffee, hockey sticks, and tuques on supply for all the americans coming over to become canadians.The_Bio_ShuYou know...it wouldn't be that bad to switch over to Canada. I mean...what's the difference? Canadians speak English for the most part right? Canada has all the latest technology and video games just like the US. It's a modernized country and it's not struggling as bad as Mexico is struggling with their economy.
With a Dem majority in congress, I wouldn't worry too much. And let's just say I'd slightly prefer her with a Republican majority than what we currently have now. (I see her doing a lot of talking, not much doing during a presidency) Another Palin topic though. These seem to be quite the fad.

Please not Sarah Palin. As you can see she's not too bright already. How are you going to dis the president about him using some device (I can't remember :?) When You are writing down crap in your hand? If someone asks me what news paper do I read I'll say Either the New York Times or The daily Bugle (from spider man :P) Before I answer saying I read every news paper.
BTW the world is not going to end in 2012. We don't know when it's going to end so stop predicting.

Sarah Palin gave an entire speech to many, many people. She wrote down a few key points on her hand, because if you have ever given a speech, there will be times when your mind stops ticking for a second, and unless you think fast, you are going to look like a fool. Having a few key points on her hand could keep her on track.
Our current president uses a teleprompter and gets a lot of flack for it, and frankly I don't blame him for using it, but he uses it to excess. He brought a teleprompter to speak to some grade schoolers recently. Grade schoolers would not judge him if he fumbled a word or 2, in fact, if I watched any president speak when I was in school I would be in awe, I probably wouldn't even listen.
Using the hand thing to bring Palin down is retarded, thats right, the R word. I hope I didn't break any of your fragile hearts, but it is. These speakers, politicians, etc are put on the spot constantly, and they aren't always prepped like they are for the Jay Leno show. They rarely get the questions before hand, so a few fumbled questions shouldn't break a person.

Yes I'm young but I'm not using that moment to as you say "bring palin down". I'm just saying that I wouldn't want her to be president because of what I've seen. What have you seen? Quit listening to your parents, stop listening to web sites, stop listening to the radio, and stop listening to the tv, and just start listening.

Again, I am unsure how writing stuff on your hand is not worse than a teleprompter. Remembering an entire speech, to me, seems alot more difficult than remembering three talking points you basically have built your entire political career on. And the only reason people are giving her so much flack isbecause she ripped on Obama for using a teleprompter...while she was reading things from her hand. They arn't ripping on her because it's stupid, they are ripping on her because it's blatant hypocrisy.
The sooner her supporters stop trying to defend it "Well....it can be hard to remember 3 things at once!" the sooner people are going to stop using it against her. It really isn't a big deal, but it was stupid for her to do it and it doesn't make me think she is very bright.
Also, she is supposed to be a professional politician. Which means she should be experienced enough to not need to write on her hand.

The only "ONLY" reason telepromptersare "bad" all of a sudden is because a push by Teabaggers and hard right Republicans want to make Obama look bad. Palin is a walking contradiction. Almost everything she gets slammed on by the "Liberal (mainstream) media" is her own fault.Mr.falconclan. I don't know if you remember the fallout from both Obamas address to grad students but also the fallout from parents pulling their kids from school so Obama wont brainwash them with socialist behavior. So I doubt Obama wants to make an of-the-cuff statement that Hanity and Rush will tear apart and spin into a Democratic attempt for a ku de graw starting with your kids.

Yeah, but people are only ever going to vote for one extreme or the other. There is no chance of an independent party president being elected in this country.
hence why I said a leader like that "will never happen."
but you have to admit it's a damn shame. the democrat v republican "war" is just so out of proportion these days. both side essentially calls the other side terrorists in so many words. even the normal every day joe can't really say what side he is on (in a setting such as work), for fear of having half a dozen members of the opposing party just treat him with utter contempt afterwards. heck, I've even had friends turn into total d-bags because I thought the evil, dumb-as-rocks war monger republican made a good point (these were people I knew for a number of years, but they were so juvenile about it all, that afer all their crap during the last election, when I moved, I made no attempt to contact them afterwards as I so was so alienated). it's sad. I mean, maybe it's always been that way (and I'm sure to some degree, with some people it has). I'll admit, I'm only 21, so my experience in the realm of politics (and politcal awareness) doesn't match many other peoples experience.
But anywho, I'm just kind of rambling at this point, so I'll just conclude that I totally agree with you. It reminds me of The Simpsons episode were Kang and Kodos (the aliens) take over the bodies of Bob Dole and Bill Clinton. A Springfield resident claims they want a thrid part to vote for, to which the aliens reply "Go Ahead! Throw away your votes!"

Yeah, that's true, he's not bad. But because he's black, he's appealing to a different crowd. People are more amazed by him being a different race, rather then his damn good looks...although I have to admit, he is the best looking president so far.....Tough call, Bill Clinton back in the day and JFK were good looking dudes.

Well I was 12 then, and didn't have family living in Canada at the time.
This would never ever happen, so why even entertain the idea. If the population of the United States was ever dumb enough to put her in the Presidency after she has repeatedly shown her stupidity, she was found guilty of abusing her power at governor, and she quit her jobs as governor halfway through.... then I would have left the nation a long time ago. But heck I live in a metropolitan area, I don't know about rural America here.
I leave. Seriously. I'm already working on becoming more appealing to a Candian immigration or visa board, although from what I hear they're already denying a crapload of Americans who are trying to get free health insurance, those bozos better not ruin it for all us looking for political sanity and draft sanctuary.
