Its been 12 Years! When is Pikachu going to evolve!!

Yesterday while walking through my living room, my cousin was watching Pokemon. "Dang dude, I haven't watch this show in...forever"

The show then shows Ash and Pikachu and im like.."What the F?" Pikachu hasn't evolved yet!? Its been 12 Years!?!?! EVOLVE! EVOLVE!

Discuss OT. Should Pikachu evolve? Or Not?

I don't watch pokeman, but I thought most pikachu owners purposefully kept them from evolving because they like them the way they are.mattbbpl

Ash doesn't want Pikachu to evolve so he hasn't given a thunderstone to Pikachu so he can evolve. I'm pretty sure they established that in the first season.bededog

This thread made me think of this video.

I really don't care what happens now, i've seen the old pokemon and i liked it/ The current one... meh.

It was clearly stated in the first season of Pokemon, that Pikachu never wants to evolve. This was during the episode they had a match against Lt. Surge and his Raichu.

Raichu looks like a dork, and sounds like one. Evolving pikachu into a less likeable character would not be favourable to the series

Yeah early in season 1 when he fought that one guy at the gym, he decided he wasn't gonna evolve Pikachu cause he thought it would change it, and wanted it to stay the same. Still, that Pikachu kicked the crap out of a lot of things stronger than it. They aren't anything like that in the games ; p

I am surprised someone would watch the show for 12 years. But I vote no because I prefer pikachu over raichu.

Pokemon advocates animal cruelty. Pikachu should have been taken away to the animal rescue place ages ago!!

But the question is "Why would pikachu not want to evolve?" Performance Anxiety is my vote.

There is no legitimate reason outside that Pikachu evolving would take away one of the most recognizable characters out there amongst kids.

Simple solution would be to catch another pikachu and evolve that one. Best of both then.SolidSnake35
