Its been 12 Years! When is Pikachu going to evolve!!

Raichu being more powerful in the game does not equal him being more powerful in the series. When the first Pokemon movie came out they showed Pikachu defeating a rock Pokemon with a electric attack even though it would had no effect if he did that in the game. You can pretty much figure out from there they'll ignore the continuity of the game to further the series if it'll get the show better ratings. I haven't watched the show in years, though, so I can't say what they're doing now.

Doesn't Pikachu require a Thunderstone to evolve though?

Because Pikachu would eventually become a Sonichu and we can't have that.

Dont forget about the episode where Ash had to defeat a psychic type pokemon and he was told that he had to use a Ghost type pokemon in order to beat him.. Which is the EXACT OPPOSITE, Physic PWNS ghost

ash and pikachu walk up to a scaaaaaary door one night

they ring the bell

ash and pikachu: trick or treat

i hand them candy and give them a sinister smile

me: here you go kids, enjoy

ash: thanks mr!!

they begin to eat the candy as they walk away, and i watch intently. something seems wrong with pikachu as he stops in his tracks and starts convulsing

ash: hey pikachu whats wrong? whatd u give him mr??!

me: haha!! i gave him a thunderstone!! learn to evolve your pokemon b****!!!!!!

ash: omg!! thats aweful...how could u do something like that mr??

pikachu: pika...pika.....pik.......a........riachu!!!!!!!!!

Ash chose to not have Pikachu evolve, because it was afraid it'd change in the process (when he was battling that guy with the Raichu). So he never gave him a thunderstone.

I doubt they'd ever get rid of Pikachu anyways. It has become the face of Pokemon.
