It's the clash of the titans. One pitted against the other and only one will come out the victor. Which is the better movie? In one corner you Shawshank Redemption with an amazing story and all the power of Morgan Freeman's voice narrating throughout. In the other crner we have Forest Gump with an amazing adventure and all the powerful acting of Tom Hanks.

Which one is best?

I do have the innate ability to mimic Forest Gump's voice, but I have to go with Shawshank. Easily the better movie.

i thought tom hanks acting in forest gump was amazing, but shawshank was the much better movie. The story, the way it made you feel and the ending all perfect

Shawshank Redemption. It's easily one of my favorites, although I haven't really sat down and watched Forrest Gump.

OH WOW, this is really tough....umm...I have to go with Forest Gump. It shows an extremely unique perspective of the second half of the 20th Century...

Yo Forest Gump, I respect you and I'ma let you finish, but the Shawshank Redemption is one of the best movies of all time. Of all time! ... Or something like that. Forest Gump is good, just not Shawshank good.

Shawshank, no contest. Forrest Gump is too sappy for me. The ending of Shawshank Redemption is still my personal favorite of any movie that I can think of.

Forrest Gump is a great, great movie. But Shawshank is in my Top 3-5 of all time. If it's on I watch it nearly every time. It's almost a perfect movie.
