Lol Dragonball Z was prolly the most alpha cartoon there was. Crap like Naruto and pokemon (and pretty much every other anime that isnt DBZ) are 1000 times worse

TheMISCMan48

...and what in the world makes you think I ever watched Naruto or Pokemon, or anime at all, for that matter?

Nothing, as I didnt really care tbh. Im just sorry that your so insecure that you care about other peoples opinions, let alone dictate your OWN opinions around them (especially when nobody really cares what you do). Pretty beta of you IMO. Most of this stuff is things I remember from age 10-12, and I can assure you DBZ hasnt had any effect on my college social or work , or love life

Dont worry you can watch DBZ. If the guys in your middle school gym class make fun of you in the locker room, i'll...uh......beat them up for you i guess ;)

Ah, yes, I comment about a show that I thought was hilariously bad, and you get all p.o.'d or whatever you are about it, and I'm the one who is being insecure. Oh, okay. Sorry, I'll pretend to like everything from now on. I wouldn't want anyone to think I was being "insecure" or something for having negative opinions about things.

I hate DBZ...

For a lot of reasons. Idiotic plot and gigantic filler episodes being the main reason.

I think plot holes are really only a problem if they are obvious. If you have to go into deep thought to figure them out it really doesn't matter. For instance some of Buu's transformations never made any sense and came out of nowhere. That was a far more obvious and irritating plot hole.

Although to be honest there weren't a lot of obvious plot holes in DBZ (most of which didn't happen until the Buu series) and for a show that went on as long as it did that's quite commendable. Then GT came out and ruined it.

lol all I said was that there were worse shows and added a "" at the end. I hardly consider my one sentence post "being p.o.'d.". Lol im perfectly calm, and like I said , I dont really care that much to be honest. And you didnt simply "have a negative opinion about something", you called it "nerdy" implying that the people who watched it were "nerds". I just thought it was funny that you care enough about other people's actions to even waste your mental energy judging them. The fact that you are overly conscious about whats "nerdy" and what isnt "nerdy" is indicative of your own personal insecurities.

Didn't Babidi needed to steal the energy off the Z-Fighters to resurrect Buu? And there's no Z-Fighters in Future Trunk's timeline apart from Gohan and Trunks himself.

This isnt a plot hole. Because Babidi used the Z fighters energy to awaken Majin Buu. In the future timeline, those Z fighters are dead, so he wouldnt be able to awaken Buu.

Oh, well of course. That explains it all. (I remember why I never got into DBZ. If something is too nerdy even for me, then there is clearly something wrong there. )

Wow. Trust me, there are many "cool" people who liked DBZ. Just so you know, I am trying to be as nice as I can without hurting your feelings.

What I mean is that the plot (from what bits and pieces I have picked up of it) is so utterly ludicrous and goofy anyway that whether it is consistent or not hardly even matters, as that is the least of the problems with it.

Yeah, because I use the word "nerdy" and everyone wants to take it wildly out of context. Oh, man, don't insult anyone's favorite thing on these forums or the fanboys will never let it go. Apparently somehow people missed the subtext of that post where it was implied that I am into "nerdy" things, but DBZ is too much for me. Some of my friends used to watch that show. Oh, forget it. Jeez...

TC had a question, we answered it. But for some reason you decided to get involved with a conversation of which you didnt even want to get involved with in the first place. So tell me, who is being "utterly ludicrous"?

Pretty much anything that is inconsistent, weird or "paranormal" sounding about the series is summed up by nanomachines. Nothing really inconsistent really. Vamp being able to regenerate himself is due to nanomachines, etc.

yep. Although I still look back at MGS2 and wonder how much of it (if any) was just a giant drug induced dream of Raiden's. I don't think any of it was, but it's hard to tell. Man gotta play Peace Walker, but that means getting my psp fixed.

Well, if I were able to throw around highly powerful balls of energy that could destroy planets with the flick of a wrist, I'd probably go and reinforce the resistance of the planet I'm protecting so I don't go and blow it up on accident.

DBZ sucked whenit got to the Buu saga and made vegeta an epic fail, he went from being the biggest baddass to a whiny emo and from then on it was downhill when he kept coming second best too Goku. Goku and Vegetas rivarly was one of if not the best thing about the show they should have made one last epic saga of them two smacking the reefa out of each other and ended it. Then again i am a big fan of vegeta so this whole rant might be abit bias...:|

I never understood why people were confused with this. I was 12 when I played MGS2, it wasnt really that confusing. Everything that happened in the actual game was real, and really happened. The only think that was fake was his memories. The Colonel and Rose were not real people communicating with him but AI computers. he had never actually met them in person. They PUT fake memories inside Raiden's head of both the Colonel and Rose (that rose was his girlfriend, had a history together and they had sex and stuff) when in reality, rose doesnt exist. Every memory he has of rose (which spans several years, they pretty much created an entire relationship) was placed inside his mind using nanomachines. The rose that you see at the end of MGS2 (and in MGS4) was a person that they gave cosmetic surgery to look like the "rose" that raiden knew. Thats one hell of a plot twist when you think about it.

Ive always liked Goku better :P

But I liked the fact that at the end of GT Vegeta humbles himself and cares about goku and the rest of the world. At the final battle with Buu, Vegeta was the main one worrying about the "innocent people". They do that with all shows really. At the end, all major character flaws are mended.
