Axl Rose (gunnroses)
Serj Tankian (system of a down, solo)
Matt Belamy (muse)
[QUOTE="jasonharris48"][QUOTE="famicommander"]Bob Seger. His voice is overpowering.SuperVegeta518What band is he from? I'm not sure if i should laugh or feel very sad. Don't be a dick dude. I don't listen to a lot of old school rock music. So of course I wouldn't know about him. But I glad famicommander posted a link to some of his work it's pretty good.
[QUOTE="Bloodbath_87"]Matthew Bellamyfanboy-busterlol, i was looking the thread hoping to see someone say it!
Sorry, Thom Yorke is better in every way... try again
EDIT: sorry for being strong but honestly, Muse is so overrated. Listen to OK Computer and then come back to me with your opinion of Muse.
Chris Cornell most easily. Amazing writer and quite versatile vocalist.foxhound_foxThank you for being one of the few people to post a good rock vocalist. Chris Cornell is amazing artist and vocalist. Personaly i think the best are
Mick Jagger-Please tell me everyone knows what band hes in, and i dont think i have to explain myself
Layne Staley- Alice in Chains---One of the best emotional singers ever, hes an excellent singer and even better with Jerry Cantrell right behind him
Eddie Vedder- Pearl Jam---- I think hes the best lead singer to grace a stage (vocal wise) He has to have one of the most powerful voices in music ever. Hes a great musican.

JR Hayes from Pig Destroyer
Trent Reznor from NIN
Jonsi Birgenson from Sigur Ros

Wow how can you put Sigur Rós and Pantera on the same list, that's disgusting.

I like both of them very much; I don't care if their genres are total opposites. I find both vocalists very passionate about what they do, very talented, and very appealing.
This was a secret disguised music recommendation thread. Retro_ActiveLOL you got me! Besides getting some recommendation it was cool to read upon peoples opinions
Lets see a guy called Ronnie James Dioblasto65_basicYou're Absolutely right He was great in Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio, and now Heaven & Hell.
He is also doing some songs on the Soundtrack of Brutal Legend since he is playing one of the Characters in the Game.

Sorry but Matt Bellamy is a way better singer than Thom Yorke in every way. I love both, my two favorite bands definately though i like Muse better. I've also listened to OK computer hundreds of times as well as seen both bands live.
Yeah, i was thinking about this yesterday. and honestly, matt Bellamy crushes Thom Yorke Vocally. And Radiohead and Muse are my favorite bands/artist.
compared to Muse's albums, OK Computer is not the best. Although its a matter of opinion OK Computer is the only "Top of the line" album that radiohead has released along with the bends, In rainbows was a little of a disappointment for me.
compared to Muse's Origins of symmetry, Absolution, black holes and revelations, and showbiz...Radiohead is nothing.

Sorry, but I'd have to agree with kayn83, Muse is very over-rated and Thom Yorke is a much, much better vocalist.
Strictly based on vocal talent and quality of voice ( in no way meant to be an indication of overall quality of musical content).
1. Chris Cornell
2. Scott Wieland
3. Daniel Johns (Silverchair)
4. Austin Winkler (Hinder)
5. Shaun Morgan (Seether)
6. Tyler Connolly (Theory of a Deadman)
7. Scott Stevens ( The Exies)
8. Bob Seger
9.Ed Kowalczyk (Live)
10. Jeff Healey ( The Jeff Healey Band )
Probably some that i forgot which belong there but all 10 are extremely solid on a vocal level.
