Japan's Ambassadors - schoolgirl, goth and...PJs?

I really don't know what to make of this. On the one hand, it'll certainly raise Japan's profile, but on the other it'll certainly raise a lot of WTF's from everyone else in the world.

There's a schoolgirl, a goth and someone who just seems to be there in her PJs. Is that a new fashion or what? :?
