No one knows why he was fired, seriously, they "assume" it's over 1 review, I seriously doubt that, unless anyone here works for gamespot, none of us know, so, seriously, who cares.

looks like they're not covering wii games :( but thats ok cuz i got an xbox360. nevertheless, its nice to see that Jeff and Ryan are doin their own thing. Maybe AlexN will join :D

Well for now, alex is in for now. But about covering Wii games, they covered no more heroes...but what else do you want? There has been not much released, no real news and well, they are not going to start reviewing shovelware.
I don't know what to say, it looks like it'll be good. It is Gerstmann and he was with GS for years, so, I'm sure he has some knowledge what it takes to build a website.
Pretty darn cool if you ask me. You can tell in that video how excited Jeff is about it. Some Rich wouldn't be bad either - if he would only quit his job...

The website won't be done until the Summer and I don't really like how they review their games in 5's like X-Play does. When you do something like that most games end up coming out as a 4 out of 5 and then the score is just irrelevant. Although that could probably be said about all reviews.PlasmaBeam44
It's not about the score it's about the review and discussing the review. I'm sure they went with the stars because they were tired of the numbers game. They said they would be very opinionated in their reviews regardless of what other people think which is awesome. I hope they piss off all the fanboys so only the cool people stick around. Of course all the fanboys already hate Jeff so that won't be an issue.

My bet is they have taken out a loan or maybe have some investors involved. Although their only revenue would be ad sales and maybe like t-shirts. Although advertisers might stay away given Mr. Gerstmann's reputation. Although advertising on the site would make you the "cool" company because you don't care that you don't have control of how your game is portrayed by the editorial side of things.

Im was thinking the same thing. Im sure people will buy ads for the site and if that happens the site might actually work. I cant wait to see what the finished product looks like.
