Judge denies parents naming of baby.

Technically the parents have authority(Or should) over the child, but I agree names with numbers shouldn't exist. And the child would probably change his name as soon as possible and claim emanicipation from his family.

Mmm no the judge has no right what so ever, by even judging what the child will think.. Parents have custody of the child and are able to basically control everything that person does under strict guid so it does resort to something extreme like child abuse, incest etc etc. If the child doesn't like the name they can legally change it when they are not in the parents custody.. who the hell cares if some one named their child Apple, its far more intersting then being called John, Amanda, or the numerous other rediculous OVER USED names.sSubZerOo

Also, how do you think the kid would be treated by his peers while growing up? It's just plain stupidity that parents would name their kids that. I have no quarrels with the name Apple, but 4real is just idiotid.

I love judges. I mean I have heard some pretty strange names from people on the Indian Reservation but that is becuase of culture. What kind of culture in New Zealand would have a person name a kid 4real.

I personally don't like that name but i do like the idea of using numbers in names. There's too many people using the same name everyday it should be about time to bring something new to the thought process and creativeness of naming ones child and makes it more modern. 8)

just to make things clear, the stoned parents are deciding what name to use fora human child, not what they want to be callled on AIM. Im all for unique names( like Destiny) but 4real with or with the numerical number is f***ing retarted.

To the best of my knowledge, there is nobody who has numbers in their legal name (not counting things like "John Doe III"). I definitely have to agree. What would be next, someone naming their kid "^*"?

The fact that parents would name their kids something that is so obviously going to get them harassed by other children annoys me too, although I don't know that that provides much of a legal ground.
