Anyway, I'm now convinced that JC's the better strategist. Alexander may have conquered more territory, but compare both and JC had a lot more hardship to deal with... and he was more creative, too.

we need a forum for this? alexander the great was the better strategist. this was the same person who made chariots obsolete using brilliant thinking.

And Caesar was the person whose campaigns in Gaul would become the benchmark for every military operation from then on where a small military force needed to conquer and then hold a large expanse of land with hostile natives.

Alexander's ideas became obsolete when chariots went out of date. Caesar's strategies are still being used today. Does that not say something?
