The funny thing is my usual tastes would predict that I wouldnt like this movie or the other 2....but I do. Lol so that should say how good they are. At least to me. :P

Funny thing is while most of the people in this thread trash the movie we all know every one and their parents and grandma will go see this and make Disney millions. There's a reason the 3rd part went to theatres when the other 2 didnt.

Meh, I just haven't been in the movie mood lately. Nor do I have the money to go see anything in theaters, (which honestly if I did I'd probably find something else to watch) spent the rest of my extra cash on games.

Yeah that's pretty much me as well. I'm generally regarded as a movie cinema snob type but yet I quite enjoyed the first HSM movie. The second one was okay too but the music just didn't grab me like the first one did. I haven't heard any full songs from the new one so I can't really speak ill or favorably until I get a decent look at the film so I'll withhold judgement until then. Thank you. I think youll like this one if you liked the first. Everything is vamped up. The production value, songs, dancing, all of it. I havent seen the 2nd so I cant put judgement out on that one either. :P

Eh Zack is okay. Hes not that bad an actor. Just that crying face in the opening scene put me to tears almost. When I first saw it I was like "wtf? Is he CRYING? Oh my ****ing god!". And I've not seen him in Hairspray. Probably never will.

I can see where they're coming from; you pretty much know what you're going to get from previews, commericals, etc. Heck, even the name implies greatly into what the movie is all about. :P They take one look, see what's in store, dislike it and then rant about it. That said, I feel just because someone likes something that we don't, doesn't mean we should bash that other person because of it. It's pointless and in my opinion makes tyou look bad. As long as you can show some respect, I see no problem with it.

Plan 9 is actually pretty hilarious. I see very little redeemable value in a HSM movie. Of course as I have already stated I dislike musicals and I dislike high school.

I agree with you, that's basically the reason I really don't want to see it and probably never will. It plays completely out of the typical school 'drama' that a lot of teen girls seem to feed of off. Which, consequently, is most definitely where High School Musical is aimed towards; and their poor boyfriends that get dragged along to the movie theaters to watch it.)

I'm against all this teen hollywood drivel as much as the next guy. But these movies are actually good (IMO) or can be if you give them the chance. Quite honestly, its a movie for preteen girls. I felt gay just watching the first one. It was ok, but it was so cheesy and unrealistic I wanted to puke.

Im a guy and 25. Also my 21 year old brother went with me to see it.

This. Oh ya and I had to see the first two when I was stuck babysitting my cousins in a casino hotel room while all the adults went to gamble. That was terrible. So dont say that my opinion isnt valid.

Edit: Just TRIED to watch the trailer. I couldnt make it through half.
