It's only a matter of time.As we speak some punk is volunteering to be amoderator.They will realize it's an opportunity to abuse some authority and that's all the incentive they would need. It's the only incentive to moderate forfree. So it will happen it eventually. I'm sure you'veshared opinions other users don't agree with. Probably made yourself a target or will. They'll report youover something stupid again and again until you get a suspension. That's the way goes.

This. Almost anything can be moderated. And don't dare try debating it. I had a moderator debate the word "ignorant" with me, with him as far as ignoring the dictionary definition of the word.

Exactly, there's often no good reason for what they do. They're just having some funat the expense of theother users then they have the nerve to call the users trolls. They seem to like that term. If there isn't agood explanation they just call it trolling. Which means they do whatever they want because they can.

And if they mark something offensive simply because they have thelanguagecomprehension of a4th grader it's your fault they don't understand what they are reading.

Came off a 3 day one about a weeks ago. A few years ago, I think I had a 1 week suspension. Now looking back, photoshopping mods' avatars humping each other was probably not a good idea.flipin_jackass

i've theorised moderators put a relatively low number to seem PC but in actuality insert a far greater number to put outlaw users in their place or something

Yes. It was bumped down from a ban. Some moderator decided to go after every single post I made in a certain thread, which lead to my being banned. But JodyR chose to reverse it.

That'd be funny. 300 users claiming to have been offended... a system that attempts to ensure no one is offended ever. They'd still ignore it haha.

Honestly guys, i've said for years that the rules here are very easy to follow and there's no reason why you should find yourself moderated a lot or suspended. But then of course it happened to me for the first time, and i can't help but find myself climbing over the wall to the other side were people aren't too happy with the extent to which you can be not just moderated but severely punished for things you really wouldn't think twice about. Ninja-Hippo

Well, I got 10 warnings at one time, then a suspension, then banned, I believe.

I made a thread saying "Have you ever had ice cream?" or something similar. Which was stupid. I was bored and wasn't thinking. It went on for like, 20 pages then someone came on it and started saying mean and hurtful things to me. I assume it was him who reported me repeatedly. Though, I have had like, two warnings before that. D:

So i did, and i thought i was very polite and calm about it but evidently they do not feel the same way, so you have to just accept it and move on i suppose. The exact part which got me moderated was where i advised the user not to make 'barbed comments' to avoid moderation, which was categorized as trolling.
