Jesse Jackson confirmed of saying hateful and derogatory remarks gets nothing but a blip on the news radar. Not even a slap on the hand nor a fine for things he says. When others have said things he has or similar to things he has, he goes all out, gets on every tv news station, organizes marches, and strikes, etc... I just hate the double standards blacks have when it comes to making 'slip ups' and mistakes.

What I find rediculous is that Jamie Masada fine comedians $50 for using the word. That is rediculous. OMFG! When you though the world couldn't get any stupider people are making money off people using a word. Sure it may be offensive but you have rights to say it. It may make people angry but you can say it, and I think Jamie Masada could get prosecuted for that, but I guess since they are his comedians he can do it, but he's hovering over a fine line.

Agreed. Jackson was outraged when Michael Richards used the "N" word, and even "accepted" his apology. The contradictions, racist ramarks, and hypocrisy of black leaders is more often than not swept under the rug and forgotten. Would anybody take seriously the word of a person who publicly told outright lies, was sued for lying, and lost the lawsuit? Only if his name is Al Sharpton. Who, by the way reacted much more harshly to Imus than he did to Jackson, and Imus didn't even use the "N" word. Double standard? Indeed.

Actually unless you are a danger to society..ie yelling fire in a crowded building etc...you do have the right to say what you want. We may not like it...but I don't believe in eroding the freedom of speech.

There is an enormous double standard. Which do you think is worse: not voting for Barack Obama because he's black, or voting for him because he's black? I know too many people, most of whom are black, who have taken up the latter position.

I think what he's referring to are the social consequences of irresponsible commentary such as being fired from your job, or sued for slander.

Amazing, your argument is so convinsing!

Why is there black magazines, black entertainment awards, black history month, black this, black that, but never any white oriented events, magazines or months? If there where there would be accusations of racism and riots in the steets. Theres a double standard there, dont be so blind that you fail to see it.

this country has gotten so F-up that no one wants to take the job of cheif in command but an old G.W.Bush CLOSE friend and a black man who says it's time for change because the previous presidents messed everything up. I see right thru most ppl here.....and itz ashame what i see at times. i used to wonder why but i guess itz genetics

well i can't see me voting for McCain because he is not intouch at all with what needs and he is close friends with Bush. ( did a thread already on this, shall i resurrect the thread...maybe, depends ) PPl hate Bush but they want McCain because he's White...i know this is true, my head dosen't screw on and off. itz senseless to debate it and i almost hope McCain wins so he can mess things up more....just so ppl can see how naive they were again and start crying again, because Bush is playing puppet master again.

to be honest i kinda don't care because if Obama does become prez....he'll prolly get assassinated any way......i along with others can see it coming, especially how ppl supported Hiliary and dispised Mccain now they flip flopped, weak. USA will get what they deserve

maybe itz because they are a minority that have been crapped on with no retribution and feel proud to have made something for them selves, is there something wrong with that....i don't see anything racist about it but it seems you are trying to make it that way.....personaly i wouldn't mind if it was the other way around....as long as there is no disrepect involved.

if you don't know and understand the history of the country then i guess you wouldn't know why? if a white man said these things to a black person ( giving the history of these words and actions ) then yes it will be problems because like i said there were broken promises, and bad history. Today itz good to let the past be the past but you or i are not the ones to tell all the ppl that been thru it to move on..itz arrogant an not fair and thats why youngins don't make the laws.

Why is there black magazines, black entertainment awards, black history month, black this, black that, but never any white oriented events, magazines or months?

Since America's inception until a mere 40 years ago it was a Euro-centric country. White Supremacy was hegemonic, there never had to be any explicit "white" this or "white" that because America was white, it didn't have to be explicitly stated. I think these black labelled institutions are a way of asserting the presence of black people in America, as for so long their suffering was ignored and their humanity denied. Everybody clings to an indentity, lots of Americans are extremely proud of their different European heritages. I think their is such a thing as black American heritage, until a few decades ago black Americans were forced to share a common experience, to be both black and American. To undergo a struggle to re-concile these two identities and try to hold on to some self-respect and survive living in a country in which you are deemed less than human.

America still has to come to terms with itself, yes there are double standards everywhere, these are bad, but it's useless descending into bitter indignation over what are usually petty superficialities.

Here we go with the double standard nonsense... 1.) Ever since Jesse Jackson said the n-word it has been covered like crazy (which completely disproves your statement that he didn't catch any wind from it) and 2.) You're generalizing African-Americans. But yes, Jesse Jackson is a hypocrite because he tells us not to use the word because it's hateful but then turns around and calls a fellow African-American an N-word.

So now you're saying that they're NOT ignorant?

they can be whatever you want dude  i really don't care what they think.....i have no respect for them. just pity for a short amount of time.

I think he thinks you think they aren't. :?

sometimes i do think there are alot of clowns here. itz a good thing i don't have coulrophobia or i wouldn't enjoy this circus act here.

I think he thinks the same. It's a shame that some people can't even follow a logical discussion. Must be some kind of genetic predisposition.

sorry if i'm not promt with your sillyness. it gets busy at work somtimes, but i see what you try to do and fail. i don't believe anything that comes from the source of idiots ( clear now). all ppl are different and if that logic dosen't stick to your mental then maybe the dispositions lays with you.

I just hate the double standards blacks have when it comes to making 'slip ups' and mistakes. feryl06

Ha, yeah right. African-Americans always have their mistakes magnified by the media. Thats a fact.

[QUOTE="SIapshot"][QUOTE="shyskillz"] I see right thru most ppl here.....and itz ashame what i see at times. i used to wonder why but i guess itz geneticsSIapshot

That's what White Supremacists say about blacks.

well i don't know any white supremacists...do you? but i do know some black and indian people who are fed up with oppresors

Yes, I know many White Supremacists. A lot of them say that blacks are genetically predisposed towards certain behaviors, genetic predisposition over a vast population being what you implied.

Is that including yourself? Because you told me before that you thought African-Americans commited crimes because of there genetics. So I guess you are a white supremacist?
