ok you're a total drama queen if you tried to lecture your aunt on how we are all equal human beings over a chair.

im not sure how your aunt addressed you, if you took her seat i'd imagine it was like, "hey get out of my seat" (if she honestly yelled at you in a very angry way it was probably because she was drunk, that's what alcohol does to people).

So no, you are completely wrong in what you did. you were in a person's seat that was drunk and they got mad, and you acted like a complete D bag ("if you ask nicely", do you even know what you sound like). man if a 15 year old said that, your lucky you didn't get hit.

Alcohol doesn't turn people into asses. They were already that way beforehand. Who cares, anyway? You don't treat family with disrespect. If I'd seen that, I would definitely have made a snarky remark to the drunk aunt. And the grandmother. :) I don't make excuses for age or level of intoxication.

Man, I thought this would be about a huge schoolfight or something, instead its just a minor argument. How boring.

i dont deny that the aunt is an immature women for being an aggressive drunk around children. I'm just saying that it's hilarious how this kid doesn't expect it from his aunt (he even told us that she usually is drunk), and trying to lecture an intoxicated person is the last thing you'd do to try to fix it. and yes, you do act differently under the influence -- that's why people drink. No drunken behavior shouldn't be excused, but raising your voice to someone who took your seat is one of the very minor side effects of alcohol. common sense

you mean well sir, but please don't take this topic in GS OT forums as encouragement of your behavior. talk to your aunt about her issues when she is sober, otherwise you end up looking just as immature as she is when she is drunk.

Eh. I don't buy it. She was picking a fight with someone younger than her because she's weak.

first off TC, i think you are right...to a stint thou

most older ppl are too set in their ways and have different views of how respect is earned and giving. fighting back against the hand that feeds you.... over something as frivolous as a chair is not going to make things any easier. if you see the lady is tipsy, get out of the way and find something else to do until you can buy your own chair and house to put it in. maybe these minor incidents are their old school ways of extracting your independence. some parents are like this with their kids, if they feel that they are lazy or have little ambition. itz nothing like having your own.....

[QUOTE="Guybrush_3"][QUOTE="the_kidisblack"] Harden the hell up. Give the women the chair. ct1257860

Why?

My thoughts exactly..

She's your aunt. It doesn't matter if you drink, nor it doesn't matter if she's not old like you say, she's your aunt and you should respect that. You're right, talking nasty doesn't do anything, but in the end, not giving her her chair just makes it work. It's obvious your point isn't going to influence the way she thinks.
