Umm is it against the law if like lets say ur in ur house and someone calls you and threatens to kill you. And they break into your house and you kill them.Do you go to jail or like are you still innocent? umm this is in Canada, Ottawa. Aight ty in advance.

Self defence in your house wont get you in trouble, but then that depends on if your life was threatened

Depends on the situation. Better call up a lawyer or look it up somewhere. I'm afraid we won't be of much legal help. One thing's for sure though: if you shoot and kill the guy while he's running away you're in for a world of legal trouble.

I'm not much of a law expert but it makes sense that if he really broke into ur house you have the right to defend yourself. Once again it depends on the situation but it seems legal to defend yourself in that sense.

Really does depend on how bad your life was in jeapordy... but I would assume it's OK if you're in your own home and thought you were going to get killed.

I would say consult a lawyer and or the police, but if he is breaking into your house and you feel threatened for your life it should be justifiable homocide
