[QUOTE="rawsavon"]I wonder why people spend so much energy hating on a little kid?GrandJury
Because it is soooo cool to hate on the popular things, especially when that person, place or thing is geared towards teenage girls.

Don't you mean 12 year olds?

I doubt they went their specifically to throw the bottle at them. They were probably went with a friend or something like that and then as she was sitting their thought to herself "hmm I should throw this water bottle at him".

[QUOTE="Desulated"]

It's because this kid is a fad just like the Spice Girls. Look where they are now.

Espada12

If he is anything like spice girls he has a good career ahead of himself. :|

Also him being a fad is not his fault it's all the people who make him the fad, he hasn't hurt anyone or done anything wrong yet so much hate.. wow it's unbelievable.

Let's face it-teen stars are hated in general.

But who cares? By the time they hit their 20s they'll be nothing more than a forgotten memory in the trash bin of the last decade.

Are you serious? What the **** is awesome about that?

Becase he makes more in a month singing like a little girl than hard working people make in 5 years, working every day.

I don't throw water bottles at professional athletes even though they make millions of dollars and work about 1/10th as hard as the average person. I don't throw water bottles at politicians, either.

Just as a disclaimer, I'm not hating on Bieber, so don't get your bees in a bonnet over it. I'm just posting a video that I knew would get a response out of this OT crowd. Take it easy, people. Worse things have happened to artists then having water bottles thrown at them.

This guy is spot on. Justin bieber who goes traveling around the world probably doing 12+ hour days never sleeping in the same bed, never gets to hang out with old school friends and is under strict authority not to balls up his squeaky clean appearance etc is totally comparable to someone who does the "normal" thing. Instead of aiming hate at the person on the receiving end of the money question ethics behind why he gets the money.

[QUOTE="GodofBigMacs"]... so we've got a Bieb fan here?Espada12

Nope, just a person who thinks it's pretty childish to hate on the guy and throw things at him in his concert.

No, he just doesn't understand all of the hate this kid gets, and he doesn't understand how being ignorant enough to throw something at a person is supported here. You all act as if this kid is Hitler or something. I am not surprised though. It was the same thing with Twilight, half of the OT barely knew anything about the material, but would gladly jump on the band wagon to hate it.

GrandJury

In a nutshell.

You don't need to be a fan of anybody to think that throwing bottles at an artist/performer is an act of pure idiocy.

But honestly, I don't know what's worse: a moron throwing a bottle at a performer or a bunch of people high fiving each other over such video.

Gotta love this pathetic excuse Beaver fanboys/girls keep repeating, like some sort of a mantra - "OOH, YOU HATE HIM CAUSE YOU'RE JEALOUS!!1ONE!1"...

I guess the concept when hatred can be based on legitimate criticism is simply beyond them.

I remember the times with it took some actual talent in order to be considered a successful musician. Talent and tons of hard work.

Times when embarking on a multi-concert world tour was a privilege reserved only for the greatest, artists who had some actual achievements credited to thier name.

Times when you couldn't just be made a world-renowned artists in a single day, simply because your owners figured out your pretty little face will sell them records...

Going by the OT handbook, anyone popular who has millions of fans have no talent. They get there by mass publicity and good marketing by their company and all of their fans are mindless zombies.

Because 12 years old fangirls aren't capable of forming their own opinion. They do what they're being told by the TV and magazines.

Or do you seriously suppose that starving yourself to death in the age of 13 is a legitimate dietary habit?

Wow, Mr. All and Mighty. For one some girls at that age actually have legitimate mental issues pertaining to their diet. Bad analogy is bad.

We're free to like or dislike whatever or whoever the hell we want but nothing can justify putting the physical integrity of a performer at stake. You gotta respect them as human beings.

Alot of people feel this way about metal and rap, doesn't mean that it's bad. They just feel as though they outgrow it.

The problem with this trend is far, FAR larger than simply the crappy music of one particularly annoying kid.

The implications for our society are rather grim, but the himself Biever is but a symptom, not the cause - his personal safety is the least of my concerns in this ordeal...

I've never really understood the mentality of throwing stuff at performers or even heckling them. It's so immature and only makes the person look like a massive dick. At least Justin handled it pretty well.

Like Donny & Marie Osmond back in the 70s? If you don't like how the music industry is these days, don't blame the kids they put up on the pedestal. Blame the executives and marketing heads who care more about the image than the talent.
