Poll Kamala Harris replaces Biden in the presidential race. Will you vote for her? (131 votes)

Kamala Harris 61%
Donald Trump 34%
Another candidate 5%

Biden has officially exited the presidential race and will be replaced by Kamala Harris by the democratic party. What your thought on this change? Will it improve the Democratic Party's chances now on the next US presidential election?

@sargentd: "That's true, which is why I'd like to see Trump get both the electoral college and the popular vote."

I'm not taking anything for granted until election night, but I will be very surprised if Trump gets the popular vote. Will probably be much closer than it was with Clinton, but still gonna be a reverse-DEI Electoral College pick.

Of course, what I'm rooting for is Trump winning the popular vote, and Harris winnning the EC 🤣

I'm honestly worried. There's a staggering amount of people I know or talked to that seem to point toward voting for Trump, and they're doing it because of all the misinformation they hear. They believe Trump would make them richer, magically make all immigrants (not just illegal) disappear, make the job market suddenly explode with hundreds of millions of new jobs, lower taxes for everyone, and a lot more that's slipping my mind. Can't really debate with them either as they have their mind entirely made up. All it takes is watching some Youtube videos and they're sold, no matter how ridiculous they sound....

@theidiotsun: Not really all that interesting that the more pro-putin the population, the more pro-trump they are as well.

@rmpumper: Oh you don't think that the populations more exposed to Russian propaganda are the ones more supportive of Trump?

Honestly, we were very lucky that there wasn't social media during the cold war.

@tocool340: It is kinda frustrating how much credit he gets for the economy, when he was largely just there at the right time. Economic growth didn't jump or anything, it just kinda continued on the trajectory it was already on. The world had finally gotten past the Great Recession, and he just sort of rode that out. And during that time, things like housing and health care costs continued to skyrocket, he did nothing that alleviated any of that. Hell, Obama even deported more people than Trump did.

It's going to be the same situation now. The world is finally getting past COVID's economic effects. Things are going to get better no matter who wins, but Trump will spend a lot of time patting himself on the back for it.

And that's what I was trying to explain to these knuckle heads. Even went as far as asking "Explain to me what laws did Trump bring to the table that actually benefit you while he was in the office, that didn't start with Obama?". Never got a legit answer other than "It doesn't matter. Things went a lot better while Trump was in the office! I know my housing expense was more cheaper back then unlike now! All my money is going to housing these illegal immigrants or refugee's (Some thinking they're getting thousands of dollar checks every month and living a more lavish lifestyle than them). When he built that wall, he definitely helped kept those illegal migrants out (Don't ask...)! The number of deportation of illegal migrants when Trump was in the office was the best the country ever seen in the past 20 years. And my hard earned money is getting sent to Ukraine and the middle east in the form of billion dollar checks!"

Trying to debate with those type of people, even try showing them numbers to prove otherwise, and they start screaming fake news. Trump definitely have these people trained/fooled very well....

@tocool340: I have had many very similar conversations. A lot if that is word for word. It would be funny if America wasn't the butt of this joke. 😆😐😕
