I do not think its that big of a deal. Just a popular person appearing on a kid's show. Hopefully this show would not possess the kids to go look for other things that she has done, but if there is anything sexual about it, I doubt the kids would even care.

When I watched Sesame Street in the early 1970's, the Radio City Rockettes made a few appearances in various skits. Their costumes were more revealing than what Katy Perry was wearing in that video.

You wonder about the controversy between Bert and Ernie but it is ok for Katy Perry to show uprunning around in a slutty dress.

Sesame Street should be more this, less horrible, "L-word" pop singers.
