kay. my dude friend likes another friend of mine. he told her already that he likes her, but out of nervousness he said he wanted to stay friends. at a party last saturday, he danced with her and whatever. and yeah

so he just said he plans on dancing with her at prom next year and try to win her heart and whatever and he asked me what he could do to win her heart. so i decided to be a good friend and ask OT, cuz obviously OT knows how to handle teh laydeez... so yea

what should I tell him to do? (btw, if it matters, hes 17, and shes 16)

well tell your friends to stop being a little girl grow some huevos and realize after school he may NEVER see her again and if he wants to be with her take a chance and go for it or he will spend the rest of his life wondering...and sadly that may sound cheesy but it is true.

Prom is quite a ways away isnt it? I dont mean to rush your friend, but isnt it best to take advantage of the feelings now, before either his or hers fade?

No but seriously, I dont think he should wait a whole year to make a move, thats way too long, in a situation like that you would be lucky if she had any interest in him by than considering he said he wanted to just be friends. Right now he has the chance to explain that he slipped up and that he would like to try and be with her.

I think he should offer himself, express his feelings since he already made it known that he has an interest in her, let her know of his slip up, and say somethin like
"I dont know if you are interested in me, but I would love a chance to be your a boyfriend. If thats not possible.. I still want to be your friend of course, and there will be no hard feelings if you dont like me like that, I'll understand. *cool laugh*"
