The KFC Double Down is a pretty decent meal, especially if you choose the grilled chicken variant.
IMHO, substituting protein-rich chicken for a bun full of blood-sugar-spiking starch makes the Double Down preferable to ordinary chicken sandwiches.
Lastly, take a look at this ...
Top 5 "Healthy" Fast Food Items Worse Than The KFC Double Down
There are supposedly healthy salads out there that are worse than the Double Down! :x
Then why does it cost $12 for 6 strips?KFC is full of hormone chicken. and soon to be GMO chicken.
natural chicken can take 6 months to grow
but one is fed hormones only take up 45 days... do you really think that's good for the You?

I'm not sure why so many people (not the folks on this board apparently) think it's so disgusting. It's just 2 pieces of chicken, bacon and cheese.

You just answered your own question.
I love fast foods but when I first saw the Double Down I nearly threw up. It just looks so disgusting to me.

first i have clue what you talking about. strinp of what chicken/ friend baked. steak?but that dosn't matter because you have no clue how prices are made. Prices isn't all made on amount it cost to make it and get a return on it. Prices are made on the demand of the product.
take a reese cup's candy for exsample
if i sold them in store for 10cent bet you buy 100 of therm huh? if i sold it for $1 dollar you still go for it but what if i sold it for $2? getting to that point where your saying "wait is this really worth it?" end the in whats going return the most? But thats not always the case. sometimes products are sold cheaper then what it makes to get people in the door to buy other stuff
business like KFC doesn't have much competition as compared to McDonald and Burger king ect so they have evn more control over the prices.
thisHorrible. Couldn't even get half way through it without wanting to throw up.
EDIT: Maybe that's a bit too harsh. It tasted decent for the first bite or so. But soon after it became clear that my body would almost immediately reject it. Fried chicken, cheese and bacon are good, but not when it tastes and feels like each bite is taken with a straight shot of a thick oil/salt mixture.

my girlfriend and I along with a bunch of our friends went out to try it when it first came out before we went to the movies, not a single one of us finished it, one of my friends ate half, it as way too greasy and bleh....
Now that you mention it, why would I finish something like this? Seriously?my girlfriend and I along with a bunch of our friends went out to try it when it first came out before we went to the movies, not a single one of us finished it, one of my friends ate half, it as way too greasy and bleh....

Sounds pretty good, and like someone else said, it's not a big deal, not a big deal at all. Two pieces of chicken and some bacon, wow. Yeah, you would eat it normally with no problem, but put it in a sandwich and suddenly it's a lot more unhealthy than it would've been before. Never understood that line of reasoning before.

this can be said about all fast food. Mcdouble for example is just beef and bread! The problem is not with the description, the problem with how this beef is prepared. The same with the double down, according to people its salty and greasy. I can imagine the sodium intake alone...Sounds pretty good, and like someone else said, it's not a big deal, not a big deal at all. Two pieces of chicken and some bacon, wow.
