Kid in my Government Class (Dark Knight related)

So today, a few minutes before the bell rings for my 3rd hour, I get into my government class. This other kid walks in, puts his stuff down, and tells the teacher he'll be right back.20 minutes later, he comes back with a bag from FYE with 2 copies of 'The Dark Knight.':|Damn. It's just a movie, people.

No joking? I hope people know about blockbuster where they can simply rent the damn thing without paying 20-30 bucks for it.

wow for that. i don't see a point in going to a gamestore at 12am for a game either. i wait until tomorrow after school. i think the kid should have waited until school was over, just a waste of time imo.

Well, I went to pick up Halo 3 at midnight. There's a kind of energy that's hard to describe when you're at a midnight launch, surrounded by a bunch of gamers who are just as excited for the same thing you are. Hell, I went to the midnight launch of Titantic when they released it for the first time on VHS. It was a Media Play, and they served sparkling cider and gave everyone party poppers. Also some people just like to get it midnight so they don't have to worry about finding a time to get it the next day. They can just come straight home and it's there. And then there's people like me, who take a personal day off for it because they have no other reason to take a personal day off and they'll lose it if they don't use it by the end of the month. Now.. in this particular instance... it doesn't make sense, because he can't watch it while he's at school. Maybe he's just afraid stores will be sold out before he gets out of school and can get to the store.

I ussuky went at like 12am or skipped school if nothing important was happing I remember for halo their was a party at ebgames their giving out posters food etc
