Pretty cool. Here's the video.

I've never been able to solve a Rubik's Cube, let alone fast enough to beat a traffic light. That's pretty kool. :) It makes me feel less intelligent though.stevenk4k5
Dont worry. Your not alone. I bought a rubiks cube and was messing with it for months.....:(
It was like 5 moves from complete if you pay attention. He just kept looping around the last 2 moves over and over and then solved it. 1/10 though for filming it. Alter_Echo
lol, I can assure you it was not. If you knew anything about solving cubes you would know that I solved it with Fridrich's F2L, OLL, and then a PLL. It just looked finished because 3 edges had to be swapped.
Impressive, though I've seen many videos of people solving the Rubik's cube in less than a minute. I once saw a guy solving it in 19 seconds with one hand. I can solve it, but in like 2 minutes and something.Thiago26792
Yes, I in now way am trying to say I'm the best speedcuber. It was a pretty bad solve for me because I usually average around 38 seconds.

Excuse me?
lol my friend can do those amazingly fast...I bought one a couple of months ago...but before he went to solve it I messed around with one of the stickers xP
he was working on it for a solid week before he realized it lol

It took him a week to realize it? I know if someone's messed with the stickers in about a minute.

well naturally he wasn't actually trying to solve it the whole time...but he must have given it a couple tries before he realized it.

lol, ok. Because it's obvious when someone's been messing with it. It's completely unsolveable.

Thats harsh:P
I cant solve a Rubik's cube to save my life. I got one when I was 7 and i havent solved it now 10 years on.

It's not difficult at all to just solve the cube. There's a bunch of tutorials on YouTube that will show you how. Now breaking 30 seconds is another thing.....

Sometimes that speaks for intelligence in itself. Alot of calculus is memorizing integration and differentiation techiniques and applying it to problems.
Back on topic, I can probably do this with one hand on the steering wheel with the other solving the rubik's cube but as a responsible driver I really don't want to compromise the safety of others. That said I only perform this feat at red lights and in stopped traffic (or when going under 10 mph)

haha, how fast can you do it one handed? I just did it the other day in about 2:15 and it was my first one handed solve. I was happy with it.
I can do it in about a minute and a half one-handed.
I think rubik's cubes are really coming back. I started solving them first in my school and everyone else was impressed and wanted to learn how to solve them too. A girl sitting next to me in my calc class is directly trying to emulate me. I bout a 4x4, 2 days later she bought a 4x4. I bought a square-1, she buys a square-1.

haha, I only have a 3x3...but I kind of want a 2x2 just to see if I can solve it intuitively. I've solved it a few times at school as well and people are just amazed by it. Nobody has been motivated to buy one themselves though. One kid wanted to learn how so I taught him, but that's about it.
It actually depends on how complicated the rubiks cube is and how long the stop light can take just for it to reach red. There's a lot of youtube videos based on the rubiks cube and what really impresses me is someone who was able to do it blindfolded. filiwian
What do you mean when you say "how complicateed the rubiks cube is"
any cube can be solved in 15 moves (I think, I read it in the little pamhplet that came in mine)
Now the methods we use take considerable more moves but it doesn't deviate much from the average.

Are you saying the average speed cuber solves their cubes in about 15 moves?
I went to In-n-out last night for dinner, 12 year old kid solved it like 5 times at dinner, with different people messing it up each time.cell_dweller
I could do the same. It doesn't matter who messes it up. There's no such thing as a cube that is 'to mixed up to solve'
