Yes, true that. But the other way, the rest of humanity won't die, and you will get to keep your life.But...Your friend will die either way -_-

I'd challenge the god to a game of scrabble. He's a foreigner and probably not very good at English. Locke562He'd probably just get pissed and blow up earth.

Okay, your point being? We are aware that Gods probably don't exist. I'm atheistic myself...If you care about the survival of humanity, you would care if the world is destroyed. Why should I care if the world is destroyed? And wouldn't your friend be as well?

Obviously, I'd ask the God for a weapon so deadly that it can cause a long excruciatingly painful death to ANYTHING it points at... then I'd use it on the God. Checkmate.

And no one stated it as logical. You could have simply answered the question like everyone else. And no one stated it as logical. You could have simply answered the question like everyone else. WhiteSnake5000
Simply being the key word.I don't do things simply.Too boring.
What if I kill everybody else? Then the God can't kill the people :P nah jk but I don't wanna have to kill my best friend for humanity, but...ugh tough question TC
What type of question is that? You'd be crazy not too, and I'm sure your friend would understand.Head_of_gamesA crazy question, and no one would understand or believe you.
I've already had a similar discussion with my best friend and we plan of one day fighting to the death. (Everyone knows the definiton of epic is fighting someone you know to the death.) So I would definitly kill him without a second thought. The longer I know my best friend the more and more epic it will be when I kill him.
I would kill him without a second thought to save everyone. else He is not contributing to society whatsoever.
Edit: I would probally kill him for less.Even if it saved like 20 people still worth it imo. A better question for this topic would be how many peoplehave to die in order for you to kill your best friend.
That's an excellent question you have there, I'd make a topic on it if I were you.I've already had a similar discussion with my best friend and we plan of one day fighting to the death. lol humanity's selfishness knows no limits. I would do the same.I'd be willing to kill a second person, if the deity made sure that there were no legal consequences for my actions. I'd push an elderly woman down a flight of stairs on top of that for $1,000,000.

You are a smart man, this God would definitely accept your offer.I'd be willing to kill a second person, if the deity made sure that there were no legal consequences for my actions. I'd push an elderly woman down a flight of stairs on top of that for $1,000,000.

To kill a person for any reason is morally repugnant. In one case you are killing your friend, which is morally wrong, in the other, you are not killing humanity, this god is. You are not even allowing humanity to die, since ultimately you have but this god's word that he won't end humanity if you kill your friend, you have no real control over his decision. The god does not have to end humanity, so from a moral perspective the solution is obvious.
