How so? They admitted that it was like wrestling. It doesn't matter what they call it, it's still fake.

It's mixed martial arts. The BRAND is called UFC. It's what the "league" is called. Like the professional basketball league is the NBA, football is NFL, well mixed martial arts has the UFC. It's called mixed martial arts, because it is not just a brazilian jujitsu match, or a boxing match, or a karate match. It's all of that combined. The fighters are trained in different martial arts. It's all out fighting with what martial arts you know. So you can have a Kickboxer/jiu jitsu fighter vs. a muy tai/judo fighter. It is real. It is martial arts. It is fighting. You can punch, kick, throw elbows, knees, etc. You can knock them out, make them tap out by submission moves, or it can end in a decision. It's real.

I can go to my local martial arts academy and a lot of them are starting to teach mixed martial arts classes designed to work in UFC type competition.

It sure looks like it, partner. It doesn't matter what they call it—WWF, UFC, WCW—it's all fake. You watch it for the characters, like The Hulk, The Undertaker and The Kimbo, not because it's actually real. That is, unless you've deluded yourself into believing it is.
