I know this sounds very dumb, but I really want to know. When you are "planning" your day with a daily planner and say you have gotten an assignment for a certain class. Do you write that assignment on the day you recieved it or the day it is due?

I would really like to start being more organized for school somehow and this puzzled me.

I put it on the day I received it. And add the due date to the end of the entry.

Well, you don't want to flip to the day something is due only to realize you haven't given it one thought and your class is an hour away. I would write it down the day it's assigned AND put a marker saying it's due on that day. That way you know you haven't touched it in 3 days, and there is only 1-1/2 left. :)
