Well if your a republican conservative, than king of the hill is a good show. And having a stupid protagonist gets old because it was done 100 times before.

wow, you've obviously never seen the show....
Anyways, i understand that some of you find KotH boring because, heck, even i found it boring at first. But, once given the chance, the show is actually quite good. the characters have depth, its has quiet humor, and the plot is grounded in reality.
Either way, you guys have to admit that it is ridiculous for Fox to give Seth McFarlane (sp?) THREE SHOWS on Sunday primetime. Especially since Family Guy has sucked ever since resurrected and American Dad just blatantly blows. just my two cents.
king of the hill is more realistic comedy. many dont give it a chance. it deals with alotta issues while being hilarious. i loved all the characters of the show.It dealt with issues like government bans on trans fats, child services getting involved on stict parenting, "disibilities" as an excuse to not get fired.

king of the hill was awsome and so totaly deserves better than this.
Americandad sucks and what makes them think that the Clevland Show is going to be any better there just milking family guy popularity to the max.
I hope this show fails i hope it fails horrible simply because family guy is awsome and it donsent need a fricking spin off of clevlend.
Now i would watch a spin off of Quagmire that would be awsome.
I never liked Rednecks on the Hill to begin with. Also, I wish they would have choose Quagmire over Cleveland to have a show instead. Quagmire is freakin hilarious.

He is to good to take off the main show, and it is harder to write dialogue for the funniest charachter that does not make him seem stale.
I used to think King of the Hill was one of the stupidest shows, but that all changed once I actually gave it a chance and watched some whole episodes. It's easily one of the funniest shows I've watched in the past few years, and I was really sad to find out that it was cancelled soon after I started getting into watching it.
Exactly what happened to me. was never a TV person to start with, but I did enjoy watching this show. One thing I like about this show was how realistic it was and how you can compare with the situations the characters are experiencing. And I after watching an episode I usually get a good feeling. It was an underrated classic to say the least.I used to think King of the Hill was one of the stupidest shows, but that all changed once I actually gave it a chance and watched some whole episodes. i really liked King Of The Hill, becaus it was funny but never tried to be extremly shocking, it stuck out for that. It also dealt with real issues not talking about something, cutting to a non realated little skit, screwing up it canon, and etc. People do not like to look past the southern accents though.

Also its from the guy who made Offie Space.
Eh? Why, because they're from Texas? I'd say I'm more of a liberal Democrat, and I love the show.[QUOTE="megahaloman64"]

And on king of the hill, everyone isn't a redneck, The main character is a normal guy, so are his friends. The only real "redneck" on the show is lucky.
I actually like King of the Hill. It isn't the real in-your-face humor that your use to on shows like South Park and Family Guy. But it was good anyways, The Cleveland Show looks horrible and I have no interest in watching it.
This is ooooooold news, but yeah it's terrible. Fox is a terrible network. Even though King of the Hill is no where near as great as it use to be, it's still pretty good (which I think is amazing considering how long it has been running). And even the lesser new episodes are WAY better than the Cleveland Show.
I don't understand why they did this I mean common the cleveland show is almost the same as family guy so why have two family guys's. Makes no sense plus King of the Hill was a great showXxElSoadFanXx
3 if you include american dad.
And to everyone, quagmire couldn't be in the spin off, because than family guy would be boring.
I don't really care as I never found King of the Hill to be funny, always thought it was boring. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. Now as much as I like Family Guy, I'm sure that the Cleaveland Show will only be half as funny and will probably get canceled after the second season. I don't get why people are acting so surprised over this, I mean it's FOX, the worst cable network in history, what do you expect?

Yes Quagmire is the charachter people see as the funny guy his dialogue usually has to be spot on. He is better as a supporting charachter becaus if family guy lost the funniest charachter it would turn fans away. I also doubt he could have a show based around him, if it was hjust about him in nasty, sexual situations it would get stale and feel shallow. He does not have a family(I doubt they would give him one), his friends are in the main show, and we know to much about him.
Cleveland is a known likeable charachter but at the same time can be branched out more.

I wonder if they will bring him back after it bombs.
Old news but at this point I am so sicking of King of the Hill clogging up Adult Swim that I'd welcome pretty much anything -- except 12 oz.Mouse of course.

I don't know I actually prefer it, compared to all of the "random" shows like Tim and Eric, Delocated, Xavier and Saul of the molemen.

To each his own (especially when dealing with comedy) but I love all of those shows with the exception of Delocated which I found to be a very painful experience.
