Oh... then you might like Symphony X, Saxon, Dio, Dream Theater, Heaven & Hell, Pathosray, Kamelot, and Sonata Arctica.

Alkaline Trio's first album "Goddamnit" is a really good album with only 1 song that I don't really like, if you're looking for a punk rock/rock-pop style album.

There are many great bands, it dosn't take much to find them. You really need to be more specific than just rock though, otheriwse you will just end up with a massive list of bands you will never get through. It's too overwhelming.

Ignoring that, and seeinghow no one else will mention them, Focus :P.
