별일이 없으셨어요?

not a lot. (the Korean header asks "What's new?")

almost looks like a K-pop band coming to town doesn't it.

but this is the DPRK women's division in summer uniform.

I think North Korea figured out how to succesfully invade Seoul.

They send the cute girl hot pants army goose stepping into the city.....they have as good as won.

By the time the men of the Republic realize what is going on will be too late.

Oh yeah there are about 30,000 American troops but they will be the first to go.

most of them are there for the booze and women anyway.

Since the fall of the DDR (East Germany) they are the last army that goose steps when they march.

Russia - the Third Reich - East Germany - Totalitarian regimes all goose step but.

North Korea is the first I have seen where the women have large contingents and where they also goose step.

Does this mean anything special?

or is it just that the government of the dear sweet mentally challenged leader is more repressive than any other:wink:

I watched a doc about North Korea. The level of media control is astounding. They have their own commercials, shows, cartoons and news. People are insulated from the rest of the world's opinions. They think Kim Jong Ill is a good man who can't get a break; someone who is misunderstood and portrayed as a bad man by the real bad men who want to see his downfall.

The highest honors for the people go to those who show the most national pride, those who join government sponsored sports and programs. They want their people brain-washed and they do an amazing job.

On a side note, cute girls in uniform are a total win for them.

yeah what many people don't know is that Kim Il-Sung had a VERY minor command during the Second World War and his war victories were embellishments invented by himself afterwards (like the rest of his accomplishments)

He was foised on the people of the North by Stalin because the Soviets needed a stooge for the Communist regime they wanted to plant there.

Kim was chosen because all of the leadership of the Korean Communist party had been eliminated by the Soviets and Chinese.

There was a party in Seoul but they were neither considered or consulted.

When Kim Il-Sung took over he had only eight years of schooling and that all in China ....his family was one of the many who fled to China during the time of famine in the 20s

of course later the text books read that they went north to lead the glorious revolution.

The fact of the matter is his Grandfater was a Christian minister.

He grew up and went to school as a child speaking Chinese.

he barely spoke Korean and had to be drilled for hours in order to give his acceptance speech.

there were Russians in attendance so no matter how he changed the offical record at Pyongyang....the facts of this will always be known.

and just like his son Kim Jong-Il when he grew up he became a pudgy power mad drunk.

Not only do they get plenty of exersize - the military are the only people in that ruin of a nation who are guaranteed to get enough food to stay alive from week to week.
