Laptop to pick, need help

need a laptop, I want it for Animation/modeling/photoshop

looking at HP EliteBook 8740w Moblie Workstation, it will cost over 2,000. it comes with a Quardo FX 2800

Should I get a workstation or just get a highend gaming computer, which would be cheaper and have a GTX 460 or higher?

Why do you need a laptop? Why not a desktop?

I don't know very much about Animation etc, but isn't Apple considered the best for that field. How come you didn't choose a Mac?

i have to travel to the college which takes 2 hours and my desktop is more built for gaming than a workstation, and I am not ready to upgrade because its not old yet

A nice Macbook Pro might be better.

MacBook pro hands down. I'd wait during school days (aug 20th-sept 1st) because they'll give you a free Itouch :)

they all use intergated graphics, I always thought that would be bad, for anything even graphics
