LastFM Band Logo's: pretty cool stuff

Someone should do one for FrostyPhantasm and make it a 6 month one not an overall one. =3 . I kept switching through the different charts now it won't let me make one :(FrostyPhantasm

What's your favorite CD man? What do you think about Gaia III?

It's a complete letdown for me, specially Atlantia. You would think that they would close a 9 year trilogy with a big bang, but i was really dissapointed with the song. I mean, La Cantata del Diablo was 21 minutes long and full of orchestra and awesomesauce. Atlantia got some of it in the intro but that's it ._.

I really can't decide on a favorite album, it used to be Gaia II, but right now I think La Leyena de La Mancha and Finisterra are tied for first place with Gaia as a close second and Gaia II in a slightly distant third. To be honest I think I just abused Gaia II; I have listened to that album to death, to the point that it's starting to bore me. :P

I haven't listened to anything after Gaia II, so I have no idea how even La Ciudad de los Arboles turned out, much less Gaia III, but when I first heard of it, I wasn't very excited by the idea. I think they should just let Gaia rest and move on to other things, it's starting to come off as lack of creativity, imo.

I couldn't get into Demilich because of the vocals. Usually vocals have no effect on the music at all but it just sounds... gross. :?

I think I have a natural pre-disposition for growling and harsh vocals. The first metal band I ever heard was Chilren Of Bodom, and I immediately loved it, vocals and all; I didn't have to get used to it or anything, I just thought it was great, and before I listened to Bodom, the heaviest music I had ever heard was the likes of Korn and Disturbed. :P

Similarly, when I first listened to Demilich, I was floored by the vocals; they just sound amazing, and I really enjoy them. :D

Most of the bands I like have really harsh vocals. Like Equilibrium has insane vocals and I love it. But Demilich just sounds... weird. :P

Never understood the dislike for Demilich's vocals, IMO they add some very nice ambiance to the music. Nespithe has been my favorite metal album ever since I first heard it about a year and a half ago; there's not a single bad riff on there. But I liked the vocals right from the start, probably because I've heard a lot of weird vocalists in death metal that I semi-forced myself to get used to, not that many strike me as that surprising anymore, unless they're flat out badly done.

There should be some on there rather than a few that are but the banner generator lacks the logos for a good deal of artists I listen to.

I created a new last.fm account last night and it imported all the stuff I've been listening to so I decided to generate a list based on that:

Mastodon shouldn't really be there though, I've only listened to one of their albums once. Relatively new listens though so for example Dissection, Celtic Frost and King Crimson should be way higher on the list in a few months' time.
