Leave Iraq and focus on Afghanistan or what

Thats kind of silly if we left Iraq it would collapse in 6 months to a year then wed be have to go back and start over.

Afganistan can be controlled by a much smaller force the general population is sparce and the battlefield is wide open with little cover we could use more troops there but maybe just 1 brigade of marines should do it no need to empty Iraq

Why did we leave Afghanistan in the first place? That war actually had some sort of purpose: get Bin Laden. Now we're stuck in a quagmire of a war that not many people like. Great.Video_Game_King

Rather unfortunately the Taliban will always exist and will probably assume power in Afghanistan as soon as the foreign troops leave. Iraq could implode on itself if the troops leave there, although they shouldn;t have been there in the first place.

Anyway in short I think people have to make the best of a bad situation. It would be difficult to leave one situation over another because ultimately the one that is left alone will have a lot of problems.

I didn't suggest any ideas. What did I say that suggested ideas? I said "getting Bin Laden: good, Iraq: bad". That was the gist of what I said, to clear up confusion.

i say invade the tribal region of pakistan and invade Iran its the only thing left 2 do LOL

then invade parts of Africa

I think that would be a bad idea because if we do that alot of innocent people will die people that are depending on us to protect them and and give them Nato like aid

Without the threat of America and its Nato allies the world would be in chaos within 10 years for example look at a place that America and Nato refuse to goor get embroiled Sub-Saharahn and central Africa I don't like it but If we retreat behind our borders theyrel y be some tyranical empire knocking on our door in a decade or so that we'll have to fight because we never stopped them in the begining

I dont buy what you say about Iraq. These people just want America OUT of their country. What we have done would be akin to China brute forcing their way into the states, killing Bush (which i wouldnt complain about) and then staying for years to destroy their infrastructure and economy. Way to go neocons, sure proves how worthwhile a pre-emptive attack is under your guidance.

All we can really do at this point, as citizens, is hope and ***** to congress and the presidency to leave Iran alone and NOT attack them. If this happens we should all be prepared to pay $10+ per gallon of gas, and this is just the low side for prices. This kind of action may well take gas prices up to $15 a gallon, possibly higher in the long term.

Afghanistan was and is the only place we should have focused the military, and what the hell has happened to DIPLOMACY?!
