Theres bias on both sides, its just the way things are. How can you not believe Fox is bias? I watched it when I was working out and they took news about Bush and ended up bashing Bill Clinton for no reason at all :?

How is Fox biased? Go look at CNN! They have a freaking reporter that's bashing US troops for firing on civilians that were pointing them out to the enemy!

Take everything on CNN with a grain of salt. Fox is split mostly even half and half.

All media is biased, be it Fox News, CNN, the Associated Press, and so on. There are few, if any, media sources that aren't owned by a company with its own agenda that it projects on its media outlet. Look at NBC, for instance. They're owned by General Electric. CBS is owned by Viacom, itself a subsidiary of National Amusements, Inc. ABC is owned by the Walt Disney company.

It does exist... though not nearly on the level that people make it out to be.

Wow....just.....wow, I've tried to watch Fox news and listen to talk radio in the past so that I can feel like I'm getting the entire picture from both sides, but they bash liberals so frequently I feel like I'm constantly being attacked by people who by basic press ethics are not supposed to show such bias.

It's not even as though the bashing is here and there on rare occasion, it's frequent and I can't even watch it.

Fox news is horrible if you ask me. You are right about the liberal bashing on talk radio also. The thing about it is that they do not hide their bias. They will tell you straight up they are conservative. You know what you are getting. I have a hard time with news on tv because they claim they are neutral. They are not at all. News should be news. When was the last time you heard how many terrorist were killed or taken into custody? It is just not there. Not because it doesn't happen, because it is not reported.

the pentagon channel has some real biased news, but its also nice that they show the good things happening in Iraq and Afganastan. I don't care if the media is biased, b/c i'm able to figure out what has the full truth or not and I watch and read news sources from all sides.

but the bottom line is, peopl should just stop watching it

we would be hypocrites if we said they should stop. Its the conservatives who value american principals and we cant deny the democrats those values. We will be the bigger people. We have the radio, and I think there should be a boycott of the television from conservatives, rather than any type of whining or legislation. I realize you didnt say any of this im just pushing buttons.

I heard about Marines killing 2 terrorists today on NPR. They're pretty neutral though.

The bashing is the main thing I dislike about the conservative media. I remember watching a program I really enjoyed on Fox, I think it was called "bulls and bears" and I found it pretty interesting, although before the end they did manage to slip in some bashing.

Bingo. Fox is easily one of the trashiest stations on cable TV. The only way to be well informed is to practically have an army of sources.

Fox News isn't biased? When they asked teens what was most important to them/what they wanted the most, God/religion came in 9th, and meeting someone famous came in first. How did they reconcile this? By saying that, and I quote from the bottom bar, "God most famous person, Bush #2". There are FAR more famous people than Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (I gave God Dee, so don't get pissed). Ask me to name 5.

I don't watch the news, because everyone's biased or reporting on unimportant crud. I read it, because words written tend to have less bias than words spoken.

Well, he's basically correct. In general, the people who don't seem to believe it seem to have some sort of political motive behind their beliefs.

Um... actually there is a great deal of evidence that says its a natural occurance, and the scientific community is divided 50/50 on it.

No.....It's really not like that, the vast majority of scientists do believe it to be a threat, and those who don't seem to be politically motivated. The big hint there would be those denying it and their lack of evidence.
